Yeah, that being the case I would insist that my rosebushes remain undisturbed, and for that matter I’d put up large “NO TRESPASSING” signs on my fence just to make sure that no stray archaeologists with a GPR got inside.

Some American Indians made a huge stink about having Indian bones on display in the Smithsonian (of course they also want them 'repatriated').
The Smithsonian responded by taking ALL human remains off exhibit. Which is really, really stupid. Unless they've got actual living relatives (and not just a tribal claim based on visions or dreams . . . no kidding) all they're doing is reducing the sum of human knowledge.
Next they'll probably remove Sheridan's charger off exhibit because they don't want to hurt the PETA idiots' widdle feelings.
"Winchester" a/k/a "Rienzi". Not the best taxidermy job I've ever seen, but pretty impressive all the same.
