I am not so sure that pygmy rattlers do avoid people. I killed one around 3 years ago in my garage. Only around 15 inches long but big enough to make you real sick.

Well, Cletus.D.Yokel replied to a comment about “don’t pet the snakes” by asking about “spanking the monkey.”

The sign contains three different euphemisms (including spanking the monkey) for, well, you know (nudge nudge, wink wink), which apparently was frowned upon in the showers.
