Holy race-card Batman, this would be HUGH! (and series)

Candidate #5 is clearly offering a bribe. If its JJ Jr, daddy can't get him out of this. He'll be going to prison - period. And if Jesse Jagmo tried to intimidate Fitz by playing the race card to help sonny, HA, that'd be the day, Daddy would be in the slammer too!

That's one benefit to Federal Trials in Chicago, the Jury Pool is made up from many Northern IL counties, not just Cook. JJ and Sonny would have zero pull or influence. No OJ verdict for them.

This politically motivated bastard a) suppressed the Chicago Tribune from mentioning this scandal before the election and: b) Then rushed to ambush Blagojevich before he could implicate and ensnare 0bama in his wire tapped conversations He's still running interference for the Democrats

DING! DING! DING! We have a winner!

Jess Jackson Sr. has extorted millions from large companies like Sony, Buswieser etc. for his "organization."

He used some of the money to take care of the mother (employee) of his child.

One of his children owns the regional Pepsi or Bud distributership, a business worth in the millions.

They would have no problem coming up with a million. Hell, they'll get more than that a year from the new administration.

Good thing for the law firm.

EVERYONE should notice that ABC forgets to mention that Jesse Jackson, Jr. was Obama’s NATIONAL CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIRMAN.
This thing is getting closer to OBAMA every passing hour...

And SOMEONE was the snich and wore the wire for Fitz. Maybe I've been selling JR short all along. Maybe he did listen and share JJ's opinion of BO and was their mole.......OH I hope! I hope!

In that case expect JJ to comeout very strongly against BO and help turn the AA community to the side of right!

I think that he is corrupt (he obviously “played ball” in Chicago, which means that he is corrupt), but that it is unlikely that his mom and pop went on a “look, I`m late term pregnant” tour to Kenya to visit Pop´s other bigamous wife.

Oh, In 1961, when those four-five-six stopovers were required to get to Kenya from Hawaii (and some african buses - I hear they are nice!) and airplane tickets were insanely expensive, I kind of doubt the not-too-rich Obama couple would trot away to Africa for mommy to give birth.

If you add in that the actual evidence for Obama being born in Africa is weak as hell, well, it makes me think that the story is bogus. I don´t mind people researching it, but it shouldn´t be shoved into the media spotlight before it has more meat on it. Especially now when there are real, undeniable and juicy scandals with obvious Obama connections emerging. (Even before he is sworn in! Impressive!)

It's the "and that's all I can say" remark that's most telling.

The parallels to Watergate are rather eerie. Recall that the break-in occurred prior to Nixon winning re-election handily, he himself didn't hire the plumbers, set up the laundering bank accounts, pay the slush fund monies. All that was done by underlings, aides, etc., and Nixon did not lose his political clout, was not forced to resign the day after the plumbers were arrested.

It took time for the whole mess to be uncovered, Nixon's role obvious from the discussions he had with Haldeman and Erlichman. He was too arrogant, taping his confessions, as it were, the way he did, never believing anyone would admit to the taping system or that the taped conversations would be subject to Congressional scrutiny, thus made public.

Will 0bama and his aides have discussions, how to control all the players involved, keep everyone in line? Will the issuance of pardons in order to keep people quiet be ruminated? Will these men be smart enough to have learned from history, they will NOT tape, make a paper trail, they will leave no evidence whatsoever of their conversations?

The difference here today, however, is that unlike with Nixon, the press is not going to hound the 0bama Administration day in and day out, we're not going to have modern-day Woodward and Bernstein to ferret out this and that, follow the trails, enlist a Deep Throat's assistance, I'm doubting that Congress will feel the need to investigate these matters, unless Fitzgerald keeps turning over the refuse, cockroaches scatter and more names are named, we actually do start up a ladder.

Only time will tell.

The race card will be played in 5...4...3...

No doubt about it. The template that will be used is no secret. If too much heat is put on jesse jr., he and/or daddy will call various press conferences and make reference to the "high tech lynching" to which he is being subjected. Nothing new here.

It's pretty apparent that jr. will be offered a deal of immunity to sing to the feds about the gov. He will be spared any prosecution and will continue to hold is seat in congress. It will be as if the bribe offer never happened.

Re#154 Even more interesting is whether Fitz cares or has the goods. BO, Blago and Co. have been wheeling and dealing for years. This could get very interesting...

One of the reasons that IL is so corrupt is the inert Republican Party for never challenging the Democrats for their evil. Most of the governors since 1969 have been “Republicans” who govern as Daley Democrats.
