The polls close in ten minutes. Hopefully Georgia has held the line today. Poll traffic was reported as steady here Northeast Atlanta today...
bttt
It took me five minutes to vote this morning.
it took me 5 to vote this afternoon at 1230, I was #433...
One vote just registered for Saxby Chambliss here.
Prayers up!
PLEASE GOD LET SAXBY WIN!! Keep me all posted Georgia residents
What time do you think all the results will be in?
Was it 4 weeks already since that nightmare evening of Nov. 4? Time goes by so quickly. Chambliss might not be perfect but if he wins tonight, even by one vote, it is a defeat for Obama and the left, and we can celebrate that.
Hiya RobFromGa!
I just knew you would have a Georgia runoff thread.
It is good to see you.
Sadly, we know from MN that one vote will not be good enough!
Down here on the coast, the poll workers said the turnout had been much, much higher than expected.
Went to see Sarah yesterday, with a friend who is Saxby’s local liaison. She said Saxby has received the message loud and clear, and will, if re-elected, return to D.C. a much better listener, and therefore, a stronger conservative.
We said to tell him, to use the opportunity to become a true leader, of TRUE conservatism.
Fingers crossed.
it will be a victory for Sarah Palin, inspite of Saxby Chambliss. If Chambliss goes back to DC with more RINO garbage, he will be out in the primary next time round. Maybe he and Mel M. can start a thinktank together.
Meanwhile, I wouldn’t mind seeing herman cain give it another go.
He spoke as if this election was already a done deal.
It took me longer to park my truck than it did to vote this morning, turnout was very light.
I was very much enjoying the Jim Martin Rally staring TI and Ludacris, I couldn’t help thinking that the audience was probably made up of former DFACS wards who were abused and neglected under Ole Jimbo’s “leadership”
Voted at 6pm at a very Dem precinct near downtown Atlanta. Took me just 5 minutes to vote.
Still amazed that Jim Martin would bring the rapper Ludicrous to his final campaign rally. Could there be more of a contrast between that and having Sarah Palin campaign at our rally?
Two votes for Chambliss here in Suwanee. #427 and 428 at about 12:00. High turnout for our polling place.
Herman Cain!
I voted for Chambliss this morning in Alpharetta. Very light turnout but steady.
It is as cold as Alaska in Georgia today. I doubt the inner city Obama supporters would bother making that extra effort to vote for some smarmy white guy like Martin.
Heck, Obama didn’t even make an effort for Martin.
I agree! I posted before I read your’s.
people are forgetting that Chambliss already has gotten more votes, and other states, he would already be declared the winner....factor in the 3rd party voters who surely would not want to give the socialist/fascist one more Senate vote...
exactly. someone with balls and brains. not someone whos “just looking to get things done”
As far as I’m concerned, they could halt all federal legislative activities for the next century and america would be better for it.
I am convinced that Herman Cain would not waiver once he landed at Reagan National.
NBC affiliate just posted the first figures I’ve seen yet
http://www.11alive.com/news/elections/dec2/default.aspx
It says 0% reporting???
Chambliss 64%
Martin 35%
At present:
Chambliss
(R)
5,996
Martin
(D)
2,800
1% of precincts reporting
Chambliss (R) 12,302 68.9%
Martin (D) 5,549 31.1%
A review of the votes, up to the minute, as compared to the General Election. Chambliss is doing much much better percentage wise than he did in the General.
I am using this link that someone posted
http://www.sos.georgia.gov/elections/election_results/2008_1202/003.htm
So far so good
Chambliss (R) 15,744
Martin (D) 7,312
Good to see you Rob:) Sure hope Chambliss carries the day for you and for the country.
Chambliss 68.3%
Martin 31.7%

Chambliss will carry this easy and the reason will be that the AA’s came out to vote for Obama on Nov 4th in Georgia, this time they wont bother in so many numbers.
Thanks...here’s more:
(R) 17,229
(D)
8,248
Martin better NOT catch up. GO SAXBY. I don’t even know much about the guy, don’t care, we can’t allow a filibuster to happen
We both voted, for sure.
I think you’re right....not many Obama supporters understand how government works anyway. ;-)
“I was very much enjoying the Jim Martin Rally staring TI and Ludacris, I couldnt help thinking that the audience was probably made up of former DFACS wards who were abused and neglected under Ole Jimbos leadership”
Yikes. Rough crowd.
We had a totally fired up Jack Kingston, who had a whole schtick on how a vote for Martin, was indeed....Ludacris ; P
Seeing old “johnny”, and watching Jack, I could not help but think that 2010 might be just right for a new Republican Senator...
Tatt
They also have no clue who William Ayers is
I’m keeping an eye on my county which is Houston County (home of Robins AFB). I bet it goes 80/20 for Chambliss. After all, he was our U.S. rep for many years.
Saxby is slightly better than McCain, but that doesn’t say a whole lot. Bottom line, we cannot afford Jim Martin. Plus, I want to see a big win for Saxby just to shove it down Obama and Schumer’s throats.
**Herman Cain!**
I’d almost MOve to GA to VOTE for CAIN!!
I darn sure voted for Cain in the primary over Isakson, and I’d do it again.
I agree about shoving down Obama and Schumer’s throats especially Schumer’s since I am from New York
Held my nose and voted Saxby. There was nobody voting at my precinct at 4:30pm today.
FWIW, I was one of the 4% voting libertarian in the general to try and get the RINO’s attention.
18K+ R
9K+ D
65-35%
Nor do they understand what Marxism is...
