Exclusive: TVNewser has learned veteran Fox News Channel anchor E.D. Hill will not be renewed when her current contract expires. Hill, who has been with Fox News for more than 10 years, will continue with the network for the next few months until her current deal expires.
SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that he "chose not to renew E.D.'s latest contract" but noted that "Hill has been a valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the best."
Hill has been without a regular Fox News program since June 16, when America's Pulse was replaced by two hours of Live Desk. Ten days earlier Hill used the term terrorist fist jab when promoting an upcoming body language segment that was going to look into the primary night fist bump shared by Barack and Michelle Obama.
For most of her nearly 11 years at FNC Hill anchored Fox & Friends. In 2006 she moved to a late morning program then to the afternoons where, in the months leading up to the election, she'd been filling in on America's Election HQ.
Another reason to add why I do not watch Fox anymore.

My question is “Who protested”? Maybe conservatives need to set up a system to pick a part every mainstream media inappropriate comment and then orchestrate phone calls to the owners of the station!

Given that Fox was about 75% in the tank for Obambi this election, I’m making my move. Since the Wall Street Journal is owned by the same Murdoch that owns Fox, I will be ending my subscription to that once-great newspaper and picking up Investors’ Business Daily instead.

It’s time to drop the cloak of “objective reporting” and give us the common sense view of newsworthy events. I want to hear sound, brilliant biases thriving in the heart of proud conservatives on a news channel that defies the seductive trend of liberal elitism.
Let’s see who will create a serious news channel that proudly gives the news from a conservative worldview where all reporters must be socially and fiscally conservative.

Hannity and Greta are all I watch on there any more. They are basically unwatchable.
I watch less and less of Fox anyway. There are a few bright spots on the network - Neil Cavuto and that morning crew. I stopped watching that gang that's on with Brit Hume because, except for Krauthammer, they're all moderate-liberal anyway. Even Brit has lost his touch these last few months.
There are some on the network that induce immediate channel-changing. O'Reilly is, and has been, a statist buffoon that thinks that more laws and more regulation are the answers to non-existant problems. Schwepp Smith is just plain liberal, and a whiney crybaby as well. He sealed his fate when he stood on that bridge post-Katrina begging for tax dollars from the fed to give to the deadbeats in NO who were dumb enough to elect an inept Mayor.
In general, I liked ED Hill. Much of her reporting was very common sense....except for the fact that she seemed to support Planned “Parenthood.”
I already have. Sad, but it is long past time for Conservatives to abandon all illusions of Media Sympathy.
The Progressive Business advertisers are not going to allow for Fair and Balanced, as anyone who watched Fox and their plain lousy coverage of this past election can see. They were "Conservative" the way Huntley and Brinkley were "neutral. Neutrality is an illusion, and I'm not going to be satisfied with the crumbs from the Liberal Table. Sorry.

Fox was the last one I watched. I am so fed up with all of them that I just turned the tube off. Don’t even miss it.
Let’s be honest here. ED is being let go because she is way closer to 50 than to 40. That is the way FNC works.

With the exception of Greta’s Palin coverage, I haven’t been watching them since election night. It’s easier than you think.

I agree with you. I always thought E.D. was a net minus for FNC. Ailes is making the right call this time!
(On the other hand, he made the wrong call when he let Kiran Chetry go to CNN. I’d trade her for E. D. any day!)

People are let go all the time in the entertainment business -- for reasons you and I often know nothing about.
For example, maybe E.D. and her agent simply asked for too much money during contract negotiations. Maybe she wanted excessive time off to write another book or to handle family matters. Maybe she's just a insufferable prima donna as soon as the cameras and lights go off. Maybe her audience ratings have been very low.
(In any case, Roger Ailes certainly didn't get where he is by making bad personnel decisions!)

I've been tuning out for awhile now. Since Tony Snow went to the White House, FAUX sNooze has made a sharp turn leftward. They are no better than MSDNC, Clinton News Network or C-BS.
