“He did broker peace between Isreal and Egypt that has lasted to this day.”
If by “broker” you mean sit back while Sadat changed his mind and did all the work, then yes, he brokered it.
Put a diaper on before sitting in your Senate seat. Pansy.
“In our new environment, all he has to do is say he loves Obama and supports all his plans. That will get the Dem machine providing the funds - and the idiot electorate to vote for him.”
If it were that easy, Democrats would have won every seat they were up for. Granted, they dominated this season. But the only way to go is down. Remember, we’re now entering the “Obama Economy.”
No I can't, he is a European Socialist and the character he has was NEVER suited to him being a president of the US. His skill set -- and agenda -- was better suited to running a charity or a NGO.
I lived through his time, as an adult, and they actually invented the term "misery index" for his presidency. The best thing he ever did was get Reagan elected.
As for peace with Israel and Egypt, that counts iittle compaired to the hell this country when trough during Carter...Carter is the reason I left the democratic party.
In any case, Chrissy calling him one of the greatest presidents of all time was in parentheses, IOW ONLY an aside! You are changing the subject and ignoring the ONLY point of my post!
I fully expect him to get the second term he is already stumping for ("we may not be able to do it in one term"). There will be great leeway given to this man who has come to "change the world."
Chris is grading him most likely on personal scale and giving him a pass on mishandling of the economy. If he truly thinks that Carter as an overall package was a great President, then he is Crazy.
That said, I hope he runs. It will be pure Schadenfreude to watch him lose the primary. He will have resigned from MSNBC with no chance of Abrams letting Chrissy going back to his hour, only to be trounced by a moody electorate already weary of Barry sycophants.
Chrissy is either protecting his own self image, or just delusional — probably both.
finally. the guy is no journalist, but a partisan hack he is. how fitting. about time. he needs to be closer to his leg tingler. lol.
Were there integrity in the media he would have already been forced to resign.
I understand exactly what you’re saying and that is the advice I give everyone - look at the big picture. I also agree about Lieberman and I’m hoping he comes over to our side. However, if we had a 1 vote majority and still had Arlen and Olympia Snow and Susan Collins and a few others, what would keep one of them from defecting just like Jim Jeffords did? Also, if we had a 1 vote majority, all of our RINO’s would force us to bend over like they did when Bush was first elected and “share” control.
My biggest concern right now is that we keep the democrats from getting 60 seats. I’m willing to give over control until 2012 if we can use the 2010 election to get our RINO’s out and keep the democrats from getting 60 seats. If we have 51 seats and 3 of them are RINO’s, Mitch McConnell might be our Majority Leader, but we won’t be able to get our agenda passed.
I guess what I’m saying is that I’m for a “gradual withdrawl” of our RINO’s.
People in New Orleans can’t “hep” it. They rejected Jefferson for mayor years ago, and they will committed to him forever thereafter as the U.S. representative.
I don’t believe Santorum could run as well in 2010 as he did in 2006. PA people as a whole are a lost cause, it seems to me.
Heck why not. Minnesota is on the verge of electing a clown why not populate all of Congress with circus freaks and oddities.
It’s not about reducing our options to the heartland. It’s about using our stronger candidates in places where they can actually get elected.
I’m not suggesting we abandon both of Pennsylvania’s Senate seats. I’m suggesting we use candidates there who speak slowly and use small words, so the bitter, pride-less, self-loathing, racist rednecks there don’t get so easily confused. Maybe if we recruit a moderately conservative pro wrestler or cartoon character, we might make some inroads in Pennsylvania.
We already have a Senator Tingle. Oh wait a minute it’s Senator Dingle that we have.
