Its not amazing we lost today. Really. With the media 100% behind the enemy and Bush and the other Republicans not responding for the last eight years. I think 2004 was a miracle.

I think we would have been far better off if Kerry had won. He would have made a disaster out of the war on terror, everyone would have blamed him for the economy and we probably would have picked up seats in 2006. We would be breaking open the bubbly for a Republican Pres tonight and, perhaps, a GOP super majority.

Obama is going to make an even bigger mess of thing than Kerry would have. We must be ready to take advantage.

I know, I know. Look we are in trouble long term in CO if that coalition stays together for the Dems. If it’s a one time GOTV phenomenon, not so much, but there is lots of room to worry.

"If we will not be governed by God, then we will be ruled by tyrants. William Penn"

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Anyone who thinks we are still a majority Christian, and I mean REAL Christian country, is kidding themselves. We've (well not me personally)largely returned to paganism, rejected the Gospel of Christ. We've been rewarded accordingly with a "king" that reflects the state of faith in the nation. Satan rules now. We've abandoned god.

Kansas is the same way.  All red except for Wyandott county (Kansas City, KS) and Douglas county (University of Kansas).

Ras had MO, NC, OH, FL to be tied or a 1 point lead. Well within the margin of error.

Obama had an arrogant wind rising against his back. :)

I think with a lot of the country turning Blue... we'll be out for a generation. I don't think we will see another Republican President elected again my lifetime. Ditto with Congress. The GOP is in a shambles and the conservative movement has hit rock bottom.

Sure conservatism won, proved the other points were a joke despite every ones best effort. If I hear that moron Barnes or some such say ever again about running campaigns from the center is the winning way, I think I will demonstrate the compassionate conservative punching bag effect on them.

What more can you ask. We need to attract the center to our side, not the crap about reaching across the aisle, that just shows weakness. We are down to crystal clear conservatism, attract others to our cause. Since we got the biggest lame brain socialists to play against, ZERO and friends, it ought to be easy.

“Yeah but they won’t have their convenient punching bag in the White House to blame everything on anymore.”

The Dems will use GWB as a scape goat as long as they, say 3-4 years. Long enough to try to get re-elected in 2012.

Correction, the Muslim Anti-Christ has arrived.

You could have a point there. Rev. Wrights apostate church, a Messiah, and Louis Farracon his prophet? We do have an unholy trinity here. They hate Christians and Jews. They want to share the wealth. He's a liberal. So far, it fits.

What disgusts me is we have to endure 4 years of this guy. We have to work to make big gains in Congress in the meantime and oppose Obama and his liberal schemes.

things will turn. The Dens will now own the shop, and things will not go smoothly for them all the time.

2010 will be tough - we may lose another 3-4 Senate seats, but the House survivors will probably hang on. If the economy does not completely stink in 2011-2012, Obama will get reelected.

But 2012, 2014, 2016 cycles should be favorable for us, with Dems defending all their gains from 2006-2010. Perhaps the GOP will have to refashion itself (like the Tories in the UK), but it will be back.

I worked as a pollwatcher in Kansas City, MO and I was amazed by the huge black turnout in this particular district. They would come... stand in line for two hours... pop in, grab a ballot (as first time voters) and then they would simply pencil in “Obama” (they had no desire in keeping that secret) and they would leave the rest of the ballot blank!

Mo. Sec. of State website is reporting: McCain 1.442.613
Obama 1,436,745 with 3533 out of 3533 precincts reporting. Guess that means McCain carried Mo. by 5868 votes for all the good it does.

I don’t understand how Indiana could reelect Mitch Daniels by a huge margin, and then vote for Obama. McCain never should have taken Indiana for granted. He should have been locking up the states bush won, instead of trying to win PA. Of course, if hadn’t stupidly made the mistake of taking public money after Obama broke his pledge to take it, maybe he could have been more competitive.

hey goofy....Sarah Palin never made an issue of her "religion" what ever it is....I am really not sure...I know she is a Christian.....she believes in teaching kids about birth control, she doesn't believe in forcing people to get married if one is pregnant, she is against abortion for her own life, but she would follow the law, just like she did with the gay benefits in Alaska...

the only ones who made an issue of her "religion" are the driveby media, and you...

I am going to call our national committeewoman later today to see what we need to do. I will be glad to get a petition started in every state to take to the national committee people. Heck I will even pay to go to their quarterly meeting to lobby to have Iowa, NH, MI, and now FL booted out of first in the Nation voting.

. They think they’ll be exempt but are in for a big surprise.

Yes. I predict the hordes who elected BO will turn on him VERY quickly. Anything less than him handing out free I-phones and plasma tv’s on innauguration day is going to be met with outrage. They will turn on him and each other within bo’s first year if he does not deliver 110% of what he promised. How is he going to do this and run a country too! Something will have to give. I also believe this ‘test’ that Joe Biden so aptly warned us of will come within days (or even before) his innauguration. Oops, I guess there is a little more to being president than giving flowery speeches to adoring crowds and promising handouts. What’s a Messiah to do? this will be VERY interesting to say the least. All the rest of us can do is stay out the fray.

I totally agree.

I believe Texas should be one of the first three to vote.

Not only are we a heavily Republican State, we also demographically represent the Nation pretty well.

Iowa being first is nothing more then a pander to the Farm Vote.

Why should states that can’t bother to really ever vote for Republicans get to decide?

I think we should go right up the center of Middle America from Texas to North Dakota. Our states are reliably red time after time. In those states you have demographics including American Indian.

I want any state that went blue sent to the back of the pack!

I agree, with one caveat. I think FL,OH, or MO should be among the first 5 states. These are bellwethers and must haves for Republicans so I think they should have a good say in the nominee.

But states like NH,IA,MI should be at the end.

It should go kind of like you said, from most reliably Republican to least.
