That seems too good to be true.
CA = Canada?
Well, I sure would like to think this is true... but come on... McCain up in NJ?!?
I said a week or so ago that I would not be surprised to see Mac take N.J. & NY.
, “Carl from Ohio,” who ....
Rove, you magnificent caller!
We need encouragement, but this is more like Bullsh*t.
lol
NJ, and MI are not close at all let alone McCain winning.
CA will go from Obama by over 5%.
Let’s be positive, but let’s be realistic.
I would love to believe this, but I can’t. I think “Carl” must be smoking some good stuff.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
I’ve gotten to the point where I am going to absolutely ignore everything over the next few days.
I am not going to wonder what is real or what isn’t real.
It appears everything AND the kitchen sink is being thrown at us.
Up until this week they tried to manipulate us by depressing us. This was supposed to supress our vote.
I suspect the latest tactic is to make us feel comfortable about a McCain victory to make us complacent. Again - to supress our vote.
We cannot control all the crazy things people are saying.
The only thing we can control is our vote, and doing our best to be persuasive with our friends and family.
PA M - 55, O - 33, U - 10
These are nice numbers but I find it hard to believe that in PA Mac is beating O at a 5/3 clip. Maybe 5/4 but 5/3? Naah.
I predicted a similar Pennsylvania number last night:
Strategic Vision Pennsylvania Poll: 049%, McCain 44%

Id bet the real numbers are more like McCain 58%, Obama 36% with the rest undecided. Everyone I talk to in Pennsylvania assures me that McCain will win BIG.

That simply is not true. If internal polls were like that you’d see McCain outside of red states + PA to put pressure on Obama. And they wouldn’t be sending Palin to Indiana to try to secure things, if McCain is up in all those states then he’s up double digits in Indiana.
All you need to know about internal polls is to watch where the candidates are appearing. That will tell you what those polls are really saying. The caller was yanking everyone’s chain.
So McCain pulled out of Michigan because he was so far ... ahead?
Having said that, all those undecideds out there are proof that people still feel that the change Obama will bring is not going to be good change.
Not surprised that the undecideds will break for McCain and hopefully save us from a 4 year disaster worse than Carter.
This is all true. I believe.
People are afraid of being "plumbered."
Here, near Worcester, MA, I've counted more McCain signs than Obama signs, believe it or not.

Dear God, deliver us from this evil. Amen.

being positive and upbeat is one thing but let’s keep it steeped in reality! Come on - NJ??
Let’s keep our credibility intact here at FR.
I don’t know how to look at these......probably with a grain of salt.
BUT.......when you consider the amount of rep absentee ballots are very high and leading in some states (only down 1000 in CA), the exit polling in Isreal, the jittery dems and the MSM, I have a sneaking suspicion that it on-the-ground polls in states are rather different that what are are being told by the MSM.
McCain’s saving the best of the campaign until near the end. Soon the GOP will release the BIG GUNS to tour the country and make speeches on how the GOP’s policies can improve our nation’s economy. Look for Romney, Arnold, Rudy, Newt, Fred Thompson and the BIG GUNS to be touring the nation making speeches in key states.
If this country was what it was 20 years ago that is exactly what the results would be. If McCain was not only to win, but to win in a landslide of Reaganesque proportions the Liberal Media and polling outfits would be thoroughly discredited.
Obama's "victory" party would rather interesting as well. I don't think his supporters would take such a loss well. In the aftermath of it they might have to rewrite that old 1970's song, "The Night Chicago Died"...
Quinn also encouraged people to stock up on water and food for Y2K.
There is no way Pennsylvania has swung that much. No way.
Sorry, but that is as unbelievable as O up 13.
Bump!
Could we remove this from Breaking News? It is only the word of an anonymous caller!
I don’t care if it’s true or not, it gives me a Matthews tingle.
If he is from Ohio and he has access to campaign internals, why wouldn’t he give us the internals from Ohio?

I’m all for morale boosters, but we need to stay [at least a little] grounded in reality.
I’m boosting my morale by not watching ANY TV news.
He basically said that the reason major polls are varying by as much as 10% is that pollsters simply do not have a accurate model to predict turnout in this election. The polls are based on their best guess of who will turn out and in what numbers, but early voting seems to be way off from what they are predicting.
For instance, the models were predicting huge turnout among the youth and black voters. While the black turnout seem to be about as projected, they youth vote doesn't appear significantly higher than it was in 2004 and does not seem to be as pro-Obama as they conventional wisdom suggest.
Also, the democrat Tsunami that the media and pollsters has been predicting has not been appearing in early voting. Although early voting IS up over 2004, it's up across the board, not just among democrats, with the democrat/republican/independent ratio staying about the same. Pollsters have factored in this "Tsunami" when doing their polling, which is why they typically over-poll democrats by a 10 point margin.
If the models are off as much as Morris was suggesting, this race COULD very well be a landslide fore McCain/
Did “Carl from Ohio” mention he saw a cow jump over the moon last night and land in Roswell, NM too? Seriously if those are real GOP internal numbers then the GOP needs a new pollster that isn’t on crack. I’d love to believe the numbers but I stop believing the tooth fairly existed when I was 7 or so.
.
That is not to say McCain won’t pull this out, but a landslide is improbable.
PA M - 55, O - 33, U - 10
*******
Total BS.
M-C will be dang lucky to win PA by even a point.
I’m going with it. No further doubt in my mind.
Ain’t gonna happen. If McCain wins, it is going to be by the skin of his teeth. He ain’t gonna win in no Reagan landslide. I would love that in that it would show that Obama and the polls were all full of s**t.
Last night I saw a post on FR (can’t remember where) that said the pollsters were running into a huge number of folks who refused to be polled — the number of 80% was mentioned.
If this is the case, can you imagine an Obama supporter being part of that 80%?
FWIW
The People’s Republik of Kalifornia and the Kleptocracy of New Jersey breaking for McCain/Palin?
Inconceivable!
I just heard “Tyrone from Salt Lake City” say on WBET that Obama’s internals have him taking Utah by 18!
If Carl really thinks McCain is going to carry New Jersey, Michigan and California, or Pennsylvania by 22, then he’s seriously off his medication.
Complete nonsense. People who believe this crap are in for a long and disappointing night.
I think Carl enjoys a rather large amount of mind altering drugs, but this is still fun to see.
There ain't no way Michigan, with corrupt Wayne County always the last to report, is going to break for McCain. It didn't in 2000, it didn't in 2004, and it sure won't for Zero.
If we could cede Detroit to Canada, then yes, Michigan would break big time for McCain. BTW, Detroit is built over ancient salt domes, so if you need a grain to go with these polls, you know where to get it!
But in the remote event that this does happen, what we will be seeing first hand is the NEW SILENT MAJORITY rising up to restore the meaning and dignity of what it is to be Freedom loving Americans.
I heard a similar report on the API. They said they were going to release the poll results as soon as they had retained Berg as their attorney and they were going to release it exclusively on FOX as soon as FOX paid the ransom.
I have been telling folks for months McCain’s taking PA, I think these numbers are agressive for M, but there is no doubt at all he’s taking PA, and with the momentum he currently has, little doubt he’ll take the state by a larger margin than Kerry or Gore took it by in the previous elections.
Forget hype, spin, feel-good, and scare. The only way we win is if we VOTE. And if our base votes, we WIN!
It’s easy! JUST DO IT!!!
Pure, unadulterated, Grade A BS. Sorry.
