I guarantee the American, legal firearms owner has equal firepower, better training, and a resolve to finish the job law enforcement can’t seem to close. When it comes to justice, the people have a better understanding of how to solve crime than the liberal, rehabilitation Parole and Probation liberals who keep turning criminals out the back door of the jail.
Since we know law enforcement cannot protect individuals, nor will they be able to respond to every incident, the peoples right to self defence will be the great equalizer.
If America is to survive as a great nation, the people are going to have to stand up and take hits and make sacrifices to defend our liberty at home. Just like our troops defending our liberty abroad. Things can get pretty ugly. But it has to be done and there is no better time to clean house than right now IMHO.
I am one of the proud displayers of a McCain/Palin sign on my block. The ratio is about 10-1 pro McCain.
Anyone coming into our neighborhood to start trouble would be very ill advised. I know behind those signs is enough firepower and determination that scare tactics and intimidation will have no effect on the residents.
As for those dumb enough to challenge our 1st Amendment rights, step up and meet Jesus.
Rural folk still posses the ability to process their own food. Small town Americans still know rural folk who process food. Since we are clinging to our guns and religion with antipathy towards those who are not like us, I say many city folk will be screwed.
We know how they vote and who they support. We are under no obligation to share anything to the enemy. If they think we are going to be easily conquered, their naivety will soon be adjusted with blazing reality.

I think there are cops who’d like to deal with crime in a more Charles Bronson/Clint Eastwood kind of way, they’d just get prosecuted and jailed if they did it. There are a couple cops I donate to the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund for, who got screwed for doing nothing but their jobs, and some wacky DA or federal prosecutor wants to make examples out of them.
I think there are some cops who fit the profile you’re describing. I think there are some cops who get off on terrorizing small time criminals and innocent people too.
But one thing i know, and that is every cop and every law-abiding gun owner wants to live to see another day. Hopefully in a huge crisis we all back each other up.

Sir, I couldn’t agree with you more. We may not all agree on the methods, but we do agree on the benefits of co-operation.
My fear is a FEMA style mobilization using Ntl guard and other federal agencys usurping local control. We saw the house to house Search and siezure of legal firearms New Orleans style while the shooters and looters ran wild.
I frankly don’t desire nor do I trust LEO’s when it comes to my ultimate safety and protection during a crisis. I believe I am well equipped to handle most situations. unfortunately cops usually respond to after the fact situations. By then it is too late for the citizens.
