Best I can understand the article, a born-again Christian who is not an evangelical believes in salvation by works, and somehow that is translated into support for Obama. Hog wash! How can anybody call himself a born-again Christian and support abortion?
I'm not good with words but I would recommend watching this two videos, Message to Evangelicals Part 1 and Message to Evangelicals Part 2 Regardless of the titles, they apply to all born-again Christians.

Total bull!
They are REALLY desparate when they make a far fetched claim like this. There is absolutely NO ONE that's gonna believe this.
It's a nice feelin' to see 'em squirm!

You are exactly right. There has been a strong left move among younger evangelicals.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
It’s nonsense, unless they are including Black Christians in the calculation.

Why doesn't some one just say it?
Black Evangelicals are probably supporting 0bama in significant numbers. The black "born-again" Christians I personally know have ardently stated to me they are going to vote for him.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Total nonsense. I don’t believe this for a minute.

What are you basing this on?
Furthermore, you say your estimate is 70-30 McCain. Yet you say that poll (which is basically even) is not far from reality. Well, 70-30 and tied is a pretty big difference. Explain that.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
This guy is nothing but a liberal in Christian clothing.
Someone please explain this nonsense to me.
That's all it is...nonsense.

This is total bogus! Who are they trying to kid? There is no way that a born again Christian would vote for Obama. These guys must be pulling the pollsters leg!

I agree, most of my family are born again Christians or Catholics. I do not believe that poll for one minute. Abortion is one of the biggest issues, if not the biggest. Young Life is where I became a Christian and that was a big focus of a lot of our ministries.
They can make up groups all they want, but this is one poll that is the biggest crap sandwich I've seen. And born again Christians are very informed on politics.

The more born again you are the more you will not vote for any democrat because of the pro life issue.
Also people of God will look to God before having government become their savior and god. 80% of the born again will Republican.

I dont understand how someone can have the Holy Spirit dwelling within him and support the death penalty Read Gen 9:6 and Romans 13:1-5

I agree with your assessment...it has nothing to do with being an Evangelical...strictly a racial choice by people who are also Evangelicals...magritte

I know christians that are voting for Obama. Still don’t understand.
To: jla
"born again Christians for Obama" is akin to "disgruntled Republicans for Obama". The former are neither born again nor Christians, and the latter are as Republican as Lincoln Chafee.Bingo!

Very simple.
They are IDIOTS.
Obama’s bamboozling campaign has fooled young gullible people of all stripes - hook, line, sinker.
