McCain Says No Need To Fear Obama, Calls On Supporters To Be "Respectful"
TPM ^ | 10/10/2008 | Greg Sargent

Posted on 10/10/2008 5:20:07 PM PDT by markomalley

After taking criticism for standing by for days while his supporters grew increasingly unhinged and hysterical, John McCain did the right thing today, telling his supporters that there's no need to be "scared" of a president Obama and calling on them to be "respectful" towards him.

We have two videos for you from the same event. Here's vid of McCain saying that you needn't fear Obama: "He is a decent person, and a person that you do not have be scared as President of the United States"...

I'm voting for McIdiot as a placeholder so I can vote for Sara for POTUS next election. McCain's idiocy baffles me and I'm afraid it's going to cost him a lot of Conservative votes. I sure will vote for Sara, and what's-his-name too.

“I’m petrified at the thought of an Obama presidency, and with good reason!”

Scary times ahead. We are headed toward a civil war.

I’m thinking that if McCain was to win Sarah’s career would be over. Veeps seldom make it to the presidency. Plus, after four years of McCain during the economic disaster we’re in for, I doubt any republican could get elected. So, her future may lie in Obama winning. If we survive four years of the muslim one in charge with a deomcrat congress.

I am still hoping that Sarah drags her running mate across the finish line. It is the biggest task ever asked of any political candidate.

I believe that she can do it, and will support her 100%.

She was born to be a miracle for a nation desperately in need of one.

He’s naive. He’s got his head in the sand. We’ll be gosh-darn lucky to be allowed to hold elections ever again if Obama, or for that matter Hillary EVER take office....

He’s playing the “nice guy” trying to think it will appeal more to voters.

Oh, so he's a slow learner, then.

If there is any hint that the election has been stolen or these ACORN shenanigans are responsible for fraud, what will McCain do then? I hope he would fight and not do the “honorable” thing and just step aside. If he goes back to the Senate perhaps he should spearhead an effort to clean up these voting irregularities with the same tenacity he championed campaign finance “reform.” Just maybe if he had worked harder on vote fraud and had not succeeded in pushing through that lousy law he coauthored with Feingold, he would be in better shape today.

Of course though if there are barely 40 GOP senators next January, he will be in no position to push any legislation.

McCain should read Cliff May’s article about how once the Dems have total control they will try to make DC a state and of course let as many illegals in to vote as possible. A GOP comeback in ‘10 or 12 might be impossible then.

Ah, yes. Same old McCain. Cowardly kowtowing to (ludicrous) media criticism. Talk about someone I would NOT want to be in a foxhole with.

But, the country’s mortal enemies are at our gates, and this looks to potentially be the end-game. The only flicker of light left seems to be in the form of a lovely yet tough frontierswoman from the northern wilds.

Crazy times. McCain depresses and disheartens me more than any other politican I’ve ever supported, while Sarah has me more excited in casting my vote since Ronald Reagan’s days. I feel like a wishbone, being pulled apart in two opposing directions.

Mr. McCain.

Respectfully,

Please get off the media’s Obama support agenda.

Go un-parse his campaign speeches on the stump.

And then try to tell yourself, lie to yourself, that Obama is not telling people they should fear a McCain presidency?

Are you that dense????

We shouldn’t fear an Obama presidency? Why don’t we then just support him. McCain has a very warped sense of honor. Very warped. If Obama were not the alternative, I would say the heck with McCain. We need to redouble our efforts drag this moron across the finish line and then probably fight against him for four years.

Dick Morris on ‘Hannity’ just pronounced the election lost to Barack Hussein Obama.

NOT IF WE ON FR, RUSH, HANNITY AND FOX HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!

FReep McCAIN/ MSM OUT.

HOW LONG CAN THEY IGNORE A MILLION EMAILS??

.

McCain is losing this campaign because he refuses to fight Obama and his lies, and dirty tactics such as ACORN voter fraud. He’s just been rolling over (or bending over, I should say) and accepting the abuse heaped upon him- and expecially Sarah Palin.
The anemic attempts by the McCain camp to fight back within the last few days just ain’t gonna get it.
He should have been hitting Obama back hard months ago.
He needs to get out there every day and FIGHT BACK.
Email Republican headquarters/McCain.

FReep ‘EM OUT!

CAN THEY IGNORE A MILLION EMAILS?

REMIND McCAIN THAT HE HAS AN OBLIGATION AS OUR CANDIDATE TO FIGHT BACK!
To h*ll with bipartisian BS!
To h*ll with PC!
To h*ll with ‘conducting a respectful campaign’as McCain has said, and vowed to do.

RESPECTFUL CAMPAIGNING WENT STRAIGHT OUT THE WINDOW WITH OBAMA’S NASTY, BRUTAL COMMENTS SUCH AS;
‘lipstick on a pig’ and ‘You can wrap AN OLD FISH in a piece of paper called change. It’s still going to stink after eight years.’

Take off the gloves, McCain!

Hit the Marxist/Muslim hard with Ayers, Acorn, Violation of Logan Act, abortion, 2nd admendment, Campaigning for Odinga!!
Get off the d*mned economy issue. State that Obama/Democrats/ACORN caused this meltdown. State McCain offered a proposal to avert the meltdown and GET OFF IT.
Obama is counting on keeping this going to take the spotlight off his sordid past and dirty dealings!
NOTHING is more important than waking America up to this Marxist/Muslim!! DO IT. EXPOSE HIM!
