Another VERY GOOD reason to abolish social security.

Seems at one time, there was a regulation that forbid the use of SS# as identification - and was one of the reasons states quit using it as Driver's License number. Yet it has become the de-facto ID for Americans and illegals alike.

But it is pointless to eliminate SS - as the government WILL just label us with another number, that will be used in the same way.

Funny.. most businesses verify identity using those last 4 digits... thus making it rather a bad idea to publish only the last 4 digits...

Yes, that’s a pretty good reason to resist every attempt to assign numbers to us... although in the computer age it may all be moot in the end, as our names, date of birth and other data, are just as easy for a computer to manipulate, link and track as any number.
