Killing innocent civilians is crazy and that is exactly my point! How many innocent Serbs did Clinton kill!!

Take that up with Bill Clinton. It doesn't justify the Russians terrorizing innocent ethnic Georgians.

I seem to remember some muslims(Chechnyan) killed over 2 or 3 hundred Russian Chidren. Now that is a group I could go after and totally wipe out.

Serbian dude. The Russians brought Muslim Chechnyans into Georgia to terrorize, kill and destroy ethnic Christian Georgians.

It was Russian backed Muslims in Abkhazia that terrorized, killed and destroyed ethnic Christian Georgians.

Do you understand?

I am glad Russia exist! That is the force that will kill the satanic muslims.

No you don't understand.

That's one thing that really ticks me off. Not only did the Russians bring-in Chechens to do their dirty work, but the Chechens announced themselves by spray-painting their identity on the sides of their APC's.

In order to terrorize the population. Oops, did I say "terrorize?"

Hey, it's the punk here. I didn't realize--if you had found the time this weekend, were you planning on "educating" me that Slobo was not a Communist?

...Slobo...was a Communist.

Yes, and allow me to elaborate.

That is, Milosevic's "original sin" was that he was a socialist (or Communist) who resisted the West's push (led mainly by Germany and the US) for the breakup of Yugoslavia as far back as 1989. He didn't want to subject Yugoslavia to the painful economic reforms of privatization, strict IMF rules, etc. that were afflicting so many of the other former Eastern-Bloc countries under communist rule.

Because of his resistance to the West, the western media painted the conflicts in the Balkans as a war of good (The Muslims) against evil (The Serbs). As such, and with strong media support, it was easy for the Clinton administration to stigmatize Serbia as a rogue nation.

That said, Milosevic was also a thief, he stole approximately 900K from the Yusoslav treasury.

Fair enough. And no one should deny that Milosevic was a nationalist despite the fact that he was a Communist, and I respect him for that . . . I can only wonder what may have happened if he had played his cards differently.

The Russians brought Muslim Chechnyans into Georgia?

Do you really expect me to believe this preposterous lie?

Ch. terrorist attacked school in Beslan - North Ossetia in RF killing more then 300 ossetian and russian civilians and some russian forces. Using chechen forces as "protectors", if it happened, of south Ossetians is scary.

The Russians brought Muslim Chechnyans into Georgia?

Never!

Having learned from the Chechen conflict, Russian commanders minimized the presence of inexperienced and poorly trained troops in the advancing units, he said.

Anatoly Nogovitsyn, deputy head of the armed forces' General Staff, denied media reports that conscripts served in these units, but in any case it was professional soldiers who bore the brunt of the assault. Among them were elite airborne commando and army units such as the Vostok battalion, manned by ethnic Chechens and subordinated to the Main Intelligence Directorate. The battalion did not lose a single soldier in the fighting and earned high praise from generals for the operation in South Ossetia, Kommersant reported Wednesday.   source

Do you really expect me to believe this preposterous lie?

Of course not - who in their right mind would believe that the Russians had for the moment co-opted their erstwhile enemies from Chechnya into doing some of their dirty work in Georgia for them? It's as you said, preposterous.

Here's what I say.

Unfortunately, whenver I try to use the irony html tag: <i>, it always makes me look like I'm trying to be Italian.

Che cosa è in su con quello?

See? Sooo annoying.

Thanks for the clarification.

It's well worth repeating what you said(from your link).

The Vostok (Chechen) Battalion is reported (by the Russians) to be part of the "Main Intelligence Directorate", or GRU, which is part of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Battalion is OPCON to the 42nd Motor Rifle Division, which is stationed in Chechnya. The Chechens are therefore a part of the Russian military, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Just because they have big noses doesnt mean they are chechens despite the fact that Reuters claims they are.

Do a google search on Vostok battalion. It's been confirmed repeatedly even by the Russians themselves.

The Russians brought Muslim Chechnyans into Georgia to terrorize, kill and destroy Christian ethnic Georgians.

In regard to the Balkans, I agree with Bismark's comment!
“The Balkans are not worth the bones of one Pomeranian grenadier!”
