Sure, his name is Cantor, but can he sing?

Going by how Jewish names work, I am betting his ancestors sung for G-d. In person.

OK for G-d; OK with me.

On paper, I like him a lot for the job. I’ve never heard him speak.

Mitt is the best qualified; he is a man - and family man - of integrity. The Evangelicals can stay home, others will make up their difference, IMHO. There is a big fact here to face: there ARE NO perfect Repubs out there; NO REAGAN available this Election!.

America must prevail here. America's 'safekeeping' is paramount and we must be economically strong and our 'culture' healthy. In time, that 'perfect Conservative' may emerge; ready, willing and able. There are more than a few Repubs who would rather have another candidate to vote for; but will support McCain - even it is hurts them to do so. Would suggest that Evangelicals can do the same. Particularly, when the cause - America's future' - is on the line.

If Obama wins, we can take bets on how long before America implodes. . .

You must have a different definition of integrity than I do. I do not consider lies and deceit trying to cover up a liberal record in MA claiming fake conservative credentials as Mitt has done to be ‘integrity’.

And you’re right there are no perfect repubs but there are still some GENUINE conservative ones not PRETEND conservatives as Mitt has proven by his RECORD. Cantor has the real RECORD, so I’m sorry but actions speak louder than words as to ‘who’ is the best ‘qualified’.

And yes America’s is on the line, right again, precisely why Mitt would be a disaster, most Americans know this, which is why HE LOST THE PRIMARIES!

Oh yeah, just so you know....

Should McCain choose Romney, he would still get my vote.

Unfortunately, it would not be a vote FOR that ticket. It would be a go out and get drunk and vote AGAINST the Obamanation.

If McCain should choose Cantor, that is a ticket I could truly get excited about, campaign for, donate to, and vote FOR.

Don't think Mitt has altered his credentials more than anyone else has. Perceptions change; it was not an 'overnight'; albeit, it did have elements of politcal 'self-serving'. Not as 'self-serving' as Obama's change of heart, however. (And of course, we witness 'Obama Change', as he moves from city to city. . .OTOH; think Mitt 'lives' personally, a moral, value-based life and is as ethical as they come.

Think he lost the Primaries because as one of the more quaified candidates; the MSM set out to destroy him first. And it was easy; just talk about 'radical Mormonism' and scare away Conservative Christians. And then of course, there was the issue of his 'hair'/lol. . .

Don't know if a Jewish VP is going to be an asset politically, anymore than being a Mormon. The MSM will find a way to demonize Cantor and blame it on Repubs. Obama's 'fear' will be nothing compared to what they might do to Cantor being relatively unknown. With just weeks to go on this campaign; Media will generate more than a 'fear of the unknown' re Cantor, IMHO.

But whatever the case; am glad you will vote Repub. You are not alone in being the 'reluctant voter'. Am no fan myself. . .but push has come to shove here; and America can ill afford our los.

He sounds good to me, too. I’m most concerned that he be pro-life (most Jews are not), but judging by his NARAL and NRLC scores, he’d be good on that, too.

I do, and I hate deceit, don't matter if its Dem or GOP.

And it was easy; just talk about 'radical Mormonism' and scare away Conservative Christians.

Okay question then. What makes you think the MSM would not demonize him again as a VP candidate and thus destroy McCain in the process????

Don't know if a Jewish VP is going to be an asset politically, anymore than being a Mormon.

Disagree again. The Mormon problem is a problem because many folks see it as a cult, not just a religion. Even if you are not Jewish noone sees Judaism as a cult. Furthermore no Jew that I know of considers himself a 'god in embryo' as Mormons believe. There is no fear of a deity complex coming from a Jewish VP. That cannot be said of Romney since as a high priest in the Mormon Church he does in fact hold to the Mormon belief that he will someday become a god and populate and create his own worlds. If you can't see the difference between those beliefs and why being a Mormon versus being a Jew is a huge problem for some people I can't help you.

As to being Jewish not being politically helpful, maybe. And then again maybe not. With him on the ticket any racism card Obama continues to try to play again becomes neutered. If Obama tries that again with the McCain camp all McCain has to do is come back with the anti-semitism charge towards the Obama camp. Plus, reports indicate that the Jewish voter does not like Obama, even the liberal ones. Reports also indicate with Cantor McCain would garner a large percentage of the Jewish vote insuring Florida, probably Virginia, and maybe even a block of the Northeast. So I'm going to have to disagree with you again on that point.
