LOL...

I don't hate Romney, indeed in some ways I like him, I just don't like people misrepresenting themselves or being misrepresented. But since I, and many others have never seen any of the points against him being honestly and sincerely addressed by his adoring fans (with one or two exceptions), we will keep on top of you guys. See side stepping and obfuscation ARE NOT ANSWERS...

But keep playing the “Romney Haters” or “Bigot” card, it really helps the cause and really makes you look honest and not blinded by Mitt Love.

BTW I hope he is in McCain's administration, and in some ways I hope he is tapped as VP. We may finally see if his 11th hour conversion is for real, or as I suspect, just another in a long line of steps in Mitts life of political expediency.

I suspect there will be a last laugh, but don't make too many plans to have it.

Not to denigrate Mitt (I think he should be our nominee, and I donated up to the legal limit to his primary campaign), but he did not actually impliment the universal healthcare plan. He hammered it out with the legislature and signed it into law, but he unfortunately left office before most of it was implimented.

While Mitt's tenure as CEO of Bain Capital can help McCain by giving him someone with credibility on economics, it also presents some liabilities. Bain specializes in corporate buyouts. There's nothing wrong with buyouts, and Bain created hundreds of billions of dollars in value by getting bloated firms to be run more efficiently, helping them get access to capital for growth, etc. Even though such activity is necessary and good for the economy, it sometimes involves layoffs or even shutting down firms that are performing so poorly that they can't be turned around. Hence a lot of the things Bain did have been unfairly demonized by the left as "corporate raiding."

Unfair as such demonization is, it does work. Even some Freepers fell for this leftist BS during the primary, denouncing Mitt as an evil "corporate raider."

It can be overcome. Mitt was effectively able to counter this tactic to demonize him as a corporate raider when he was running for governor. He was helped by the fact that Bain didn't have many portfolio companies in Massachusetts where they did layoffs helped; most of their layoffs were done in other states. I'm not sure which states those were in, but if they were in battleground states, it could be a problem.

Sorry, I’ve already made plans, LOL!

Good, I would hate for you to be bored after Mitt leaves the political seen either now or by 2012 if he gets in with McCain.

You’ll be seeing and hearing from Mitt for a long, long time. Sorry about that, but it’s a reality you will need to deal with. Good luck.

I doubt it. If his wife Anne is half the woman I think she is, she has put her foot down on another fruitless multi million dollar debacle in 2012, and he would just prove himself a further fool for doing it. If he is tied to McCain’s administration, well, that will tank him right there.

No, 2012 will be the time the country will finally have been beat up enough to shed liberals and vanity candidates, it will be time for the real conservatives to come back, because the party of the past 30 years will finally be over, and the bill will be waiting on the bar....

If McCain chooses Romney for VP, he will run for Prez and win in 2012. And if McCain should die in office, then Romney would immediately ascend to the Presidency. Now, I’m sure that thought will make you gag, but, that is what will happen. Oh, and McCain has taken the lead in the Rasmussen daily tracking poll today, 47% to 46% for Obama. (Which means the margin of lead is actually much higher when you figure likely voters as opposed to voters at large). So, don’t hold your breath and turn blue waiting for your scenario to come to fruition as versus mine. But we’ll wait and see how it all plays out.

McCain will beat Obama, of that I have no doubt. But there will be little chance of McCain being able to fix the problems we are rapidly heading for, and anyone tied to him will share that failure.

What it will create is a blank slate in 2012, one for which none of the current players will have a role. People will be done with the whole mess and looking for the real thing, a conservative with Conservative ideas and solutions and a solid LONG record to back it up. Like I said the time for vanity candidates will be long gone, and even you may start to look past a winning smile and a good shuck and jive “conversion’ for the real thing...

Jealous of Mitt’s success in life? He got where he is on a lot more than shuck and jive my dear. You should wish to get so far, but guess your shuck and jive abilities are limited.

The last thing I am is jealous of Mitt. I don't care if he is worth 5 dollars or 5 billion, I can't stand someone who misrepresents themselves when trying to obtain a position that can effect my family.

But I am glad you admit he is all shuck and jive and then some...

BTW reading an interesting article right now on how much more money "Romneycare" is going to eat up. Looks like we won't be seeing Mitt one way or the other in '12 after all...

In your dreams. You’ll be proven wrong, and I’ll be around on these threads to crow about it. McCain/Romney!

I’ll tell you what’s happening right now. McCain is already sending Mitt out to do battle. He’s been on all the talking head cable TV shows yesterday and today. And he’s been very, very good stating McCain’s positions. The groundwork is being laid. Within the next three weeks McCain will be announcing Mitt Romney will be his VP choice. And then you won’t be LOL, you will be very sad indeed. I, of course, will be overjoyed. That is what is happening right now.

Actually in some ways I hope he picks Mitt for VP, it will do one of two things, it will either prove his conversion is real or as I suspect as he works with the congress, show his true colors.

Given that Romney care is RIGHT NOW as we speak consuming another several million dollars in tax payer money, I suspect the latter will bear fruit.

Plus we can be rid of Mitt in 2012 so some of these new up and comers with REAL and LIFE LONG conservative stances can run. Juan will be a one trick pony and while he will win, he won't have what it takes to fix the issues facing us by 2012. That failure will stick to Mitt because of his ”superstar” stats, and we will have a clean slate in 2012 when folks, including you, will be clamoring for the real thing.

Sadly I don't think it will hapen, if Juan was going to pick Mitt he would have done so by now and would not be still vetting others...
