Yeah man!
Yeah man!
I was about to be flabergasted until I realized that this was Pasadena, TEXAS.
Never mind.
Here in Houston,it’s known as Pasa-get-down-dena.Seriously.
I meant to add (TX) after Pasadena in the title. I got absorbed with the rest of the post and forgot to go back and fix the title. Sorry.

This is Harris County, not Travis County.
Our DA just held a press conference and said this is proof the grand jury system works.
That means no new charges.
Not since Moby was at FM 96.5.
The comments section of this article is working overtime. The whiners & liberal logic are showing themselves but fortunately they are outnumbered.
YES!!! I LOVE TEXAS!!!
Well, it's Texas. The chances of a Texas Grand jury doing anything else were pretty small. So, while I'm happy for Mr. Horn, I'm not in the least surprised.
They didn't. In cases such as this, the DA often refers the case to the grand jury, knowing he's going to get a "No Bill" (even the anti RKBA Harris country DA). The DA would have looked pretty stupid, and might not be re-elected, if he'd charged a man defending his neighbor's property and his own person against two illegal aliens with criminal records.
Grand Juries, especially Texas Grand Juries, are different than Petite "Jury of Peers". Mainly because it's not done in the same adversarila format as a trial. If the DA is not interested in getting an indictment, it's a slam dunk. But in a case like this one, even if he is a Texas Grand Jury is unlikely to indict. The grand jury is selected by "commisionors" in each county, appointed by the district judge. The Judge vetts the jurors, their no "preemptory challenge" procedure, meaning the defense attorny, or the prosecutor, can't blacklist anyone with more brains than a chipmonk.
I was wondering the same thing. I was skimming down the posts here looking for that info. Quannell the 10th I recall said something about taking to the streets if there was a no bill.
Here in Minnesota we’ll pass a law that requires the home owner to help carry the loot out to be designated pick-up location. And if we try to make the criminal feel bad, we can be charged for a hate crime.

good news indeed !!

That maybe true in your county but not so in mine.... It used to be a group made selections for the GJ but now the GJ members are drawn the first Monday of each quarter from the weekly jury panel to serve for the quarter.
the fact that Mr Horn stayed on the line w/911 too long was the only problem in his defence, NEVER tell a gov employee that yer gonna shoot somebody...
the 'no bill' and provisions of Tx castle doctrine mean legally its over...but he might outta sleep w/ a riot gun handy for a while though...
