“I feel pity for folks who let a radio actor lead them around by the nose.
Pitiful.”
Not a fan of “Operation Jerk-Off”, huh? ;)
McCain got Democrat crossovers in 2000 and 2008.
In 2008 there were enough other candidates in the race that he didn’t need “record numbers” to sway the race.
The first few primaries were open.
And our “you tube” debate was compromised by Democrat staffers and liberal activist groups as well.
Ron Paul ALSO got Democrat crossover votes in 2008.
It was only a matter of time before some Democrats began jumping ship to join the all-but-announced McCain for President campaign...
TWO-THOUSAND-AND-SIX.
Tin foil much?
Dems definitely crossed over in early primaries. (Florida and before) By that time, the nomination was already lost to the soft-brained among us. Actually, most of the slate of GOP candidates was best suited for the soft-brained among us.
John McCain is a horrible candidate, and if he manages to win, it will be in spite of himself and the waterlogged GOP.

Is McCain leading some sort of operation?
INFILTRATOR (The Operation Chaos Song)
Tune: "Operator"
Infiltrator
Run the Operation
Operation
Causing long Chaos
Long Chaos
Until Denver
Infiltrator
Operation
Give 'em Chaos all the time
Infiltrator
Operation
I like to sneak in and hear 'em whine
Oh, Rush is our Commander
Limbaugh is his name
Denver is the target
Chaos is the aim
Infiltrator
Operation
Let's give 'em Chaos all the time
Infiltrator
Operation
Won't you tell me why the Dems are takin' so long
Infiltrator
Operation
Don't try to tell me it's nothin' at all
Obama had the numbers
And Hillary's were small
But since we started Chaos
It's been a bloody brawl
Infiltrator
Operation
Let's give 'em Chaos all the time
Infiltrator
Operation
We're provin' that we can
Infiltrator
Operation
We're just mind-numbed robots with a plan
Don't worry 'bout the party
I can switch it back
Just give me a prim'ry ballot
I'm votin' Democrat
Infiltrator
Operation
Let's give 'em Chaos all the time
Let's give 'em Chaos all the time
Won't you please give 'em Chaos
Give 'em Chaos all the time
“McCain got Democrat crossovers in 2000 and 2008.”
But he did not get the nom in 2000. Reagan got crossovers as well. Can’t have a landslide without them.
“In 2008 there were enough other candidates in the race that he didnt need record numbers to sway the race.”
The record numbers I spoke of were in the Dem primaries. There simply aren’t enough primary voters to set records on the Dem side AND crossover to hand McCain the nom unless there was MASSIVE voter fraud and there is no evidence to support that.
“The first few primaries were open.”
Yep. Still doesn’t matter.
“And our you tube debate was compromised by Democrat staffers and liberal activist groups as well.”
That was like going to Berkley for a Republican debate. Still, you can’t make people vote for McCain and they did. Granted, not exactly the favored choice here, even among us more, shall we say, flexible posters, but far better than the Marxists running on the other side and capapble of beating them both.
“Not a fan of Operation Jerk-Off, huh? ;)

LOL! OK, that was funny. ;)
Reagan lost to the moderates and liberals when running against Ford in the 1976 GOP race. He beat them four years later. In 1980, he defeated Bush one the establishment candidate, and John Anderson, the GOP liberal candidate. He won with conservatives in the primaries. There were rarely any crossovers. He was a candidate of the right. He only moved to the center for the general election.
McCain was and is the candidate of moderates and liberals in an era where crossover Democrats can mess up the process by voting for a ghastly Republican. There is no comparison with the Gipper’s time. McCain is a terrible candidate.
The last two pure moderates to run were Ford and Dole. They both got trashed. McCain better hope he runs against Obama because Hillary will wipe the floor with him. He's the pits.
