“Senility is a terrible thing.”

I can’t speak to Carter’s possible senility. But I don’t see that this action represents any sort of change from the anti-American activities of Carter’s past 20 years.

Seriously. Doesn’t the Secret Service have a duty to keep this guy from endangering others as well as himself?

That raises a question (not about the chicken bone).

Is Secret Service protection a right of ex-presidents or a courtesy granted because of their status. Also can a President advise an ex-pres that the Secret Service protection is only guaranteed domestically, not outside of the U.S.?

It might make a difference to Carter and Clinton if they knew that their protection could be suspended or done away with altogether.

Well on this thread, I see that great minds are thinking alike. (Should have read through, but Jimmy peanut always makes my blood boil).

“Jimmy Carter: Emissary of Evil “

Always has been, ever since the NWO put him in the White House.

"Carter is highly intelligent -- perhaps the most intelligent president of the last 50 years. It would be foolish to write him off as simply naive."

I was thinking this was one of the best things I've ever read about Carter until the "highly intelligent" comment. I was more content to see him as an egotistical simpleton with delusions of having a grand place in history if only Reagan hadn't gotten in the way, a view merely made Carter an often dangerously useful idiot.

Maybe he is intelligent. Maybe he is super intelligent.

Doesn't make him wise.

One of the smartest people I know can't pour piss out of a boot unless you tell him the directions are on the heel.

And he got taken for several thousand dollars by the Nigerians when they were just sending air mail letters.

Shapiro is just figuring it out? See, we pro-lifers can figure these things out decades ahead of others. I knew Carter was evil the day he wrinkled his brow, and thought so, so deeply, and, in a delicately nuanced way, said "I'm personally opposed to abortion..."

Great analogy :-).

Carter is the worst President on record. I feel sorry for those submariners serving on the sub named after him.

Book learning is no guarantee of having a shred of common sense.

My fear this election season is that Obama could take his place as the worst President ever.

Secret Service protection should not be given to ex-presidents who travel outside the U.S.. That would put a stop to those like this idiot and Clinton who travel abroad to bash the United States.

I picture Carter and Ramsey Clark buried up to their heads in ice gnawing at each other’s head for all eternity. (With full credit to Dante Alighieri).

DFU SONG: Black and White (whether Carter or Clinton was the worst will be debated forever)
DFU SONG PARODIES ^ | 8-2006 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

Posted on 08/20/2006 11:08:10 AM PDT by doug from upland MIDI - BLACK AND WHITE

There's some who say Bill Clinton's worse
While others have claimed that Carter's cursed
Well, we all know how bad they were
It's difficult for all to concur...for all to concur

Each one had sucked in his own way
But neither will leave the stage today...stage today

One's known for rape, that's clear to most
He dropped his pants from coast to coast
The other knew not what to do
With hostages held, he had no clue...he had not a clue

Each one had sucked in his own way
But they won't leave the stage today...stage today

Each one we've come to so abhor
They won't shut up while we're at war
You'd think they'd have some common sense
Each one of those guys harmed our defense...they harmed our defense

So much was done by scumbag Bill
What Carter did is with us still
Ignoring the Islamist threat
Today's trouble is their fault, you bet...it's their fault, you bet

There's some who say Bill Clinton's worse
While others claim that Carter's cursed
Well, we all know how bad they were
It's difficult for all to concur...for all to concur

Another opinion on Jimmy...

Looking Back at Life
By Ed Koch
April 15, 2008

[snip]

I came to know Carter well.

When he ran for re-election, he asked me to campaign for him in 1980 - I was by then Mayor of New York City -- and I said that I would vote for him, but not campaign for him because he was then engaging in hostile acts towards Israel. I was popular with the Jewish community and when I would not campaign for him unless he changed his position, he called me to his hotel in New York when attending a fundraiser and said, "You have done me more damage than any man in America."

I felt proud then, and even more today, since we now know what a miserable president he was then and the miserable human being he is now as he prepares to meet with Hamas.
