I’m back. I had to put the byos to bed and get my nightgown on. We’re having thunderstorms, and there was a cool double rainbow a few mintues ago. Nice to have all my plants watered again.
The canteloupes and the lupines seem to be a failure. Unless something major happens during the week we’re at the beach, I’ll go on a hunt for canteloupe plants when we get back, and get some “Dusty Miller” to put with the marigolds by the mailbox.

For us this is just a break; two more days of showers ahead. If it keeps the grass & tree pollen down, I'm for it.
Submitted an abstract today for a talk I'm volunteering to give at a conference in September -- I won't know until next Friday, but when the producer wrote back and said, "Awesome!" (she's not the kind to use that word a lot), I think I may be in.
Which adds to my travel fun because I'll have to fly there straight from Vienna while LoM flies home.

I thought you said it quite nicely, actually.
I was telling a friend today that the family has done more damage to this country than any other single force. Be that as it may, the family has had more than their share of tragedies, and no one “deserves” to die in such a nasty way.
I’ll keep him in my prayers and do my share in forgiving him. It’s the best I can do.

Be that as it may, the family has had more than their share of tragedies, and no one “deserves” to die in such a nasty way. I agree. He doesn't "deserve" to die any more than any other sinner, which includes all of us. And there is always hope for him to repent.
I have to say that some of the Kennedy family's tragedies have been brought on themselves, though. A lot of foolish behavior that produced reasonably predictable consequences.
