My ‘68 Firebird, off the showroom floor (350, OHC, tach. on the hood ... sweeet!) ... $3,050.

Back in '68 I was 18, just moved to LA and bought a new VW bug for $1500. The dealer also sold Porsche and a 911 was stickered at $5,000. Those were the "daze".
