Oh boy is right.

Either Huckabee, Thompson, Romney - ro - gasp - Giuliani will be the GOP Presidental candidate in 2008.

I wish these clowns would campaign by stating THEIR own political views, and attack the Dems instead of undermining each other.

They are creating ammo for the Hildebeast or the Newbie (Obama) in the general election with the senseless bashing of each other.

Huckabee should tell us where HE stands on the issues. Ditto for the others and STOP attacking each other.

We’re adults, we can look at the different positions and draw our own conclusions.

And this kind of crap is totally irrelevant anyway!!!!

“The Godhead is God, Christ and the Holy Ghost, Mormons believe that they just don’t believe they share one body.” ... I ask you, humbly, do you believe God the Father Almighty has a flesh and bone body and that Jesus ALSO has a flesh and bone body?... Then from whence came the flesh and bone body of God the Father Almighty in your paradigm for Godness? How does Mormonism teach God the Father acquired His flesh and bone body?... And your thinking might should take in to consideration that John 1 teaches that ALL things that ARE were created by The Word Who was with God and was God.

________________________________________________________

This is an awful lot to ask a guy at 11:00pm but I’ll take a stab at it, my wife could do it a lot better but is already gone to sleep.

Does God have a body? As far as I know the scripture don’t really give us a definitive answer on this but when Stephen saw him as he was being stoned it looked like he did. When Moses described Adam as being in the image of God in Genesis he then in the same breath described Seth as being in the image of Adam. When God walked in the Garden he spoke face to face to Adam.

Does Jesus have a body? Well he did the last time anyone saw him on earth right after his ministry. When he ascended to heaven for the last time he had a body, recall that he made a point to make sure the apostles knew that he was not a spirit, he made them handle him and made them watch him eat meat. The two angels standing nearby as he ascended told the followers not to marvel at the way He was leaving because He would come back the same way. Now I don’t know what it is that you think Christ would have done with His body but He had it when he left and apparently will have it when He returns. I suppose it is possible that He put it in storage for the last 2000 years but I doubt it.

When Mary, the first one to see the resurrected Lord started to touch him He told her not to touch Him for he had not yet ascended to His Father and her Father, Mary and Jesus must have been brother and sister. Certainly we know at least that Christ and God the Father of us all were not in the same place at the same time.

The reality is that the scriptures don’t make this all real clear to some of us, there are as many different beliefs about the Christian religions as there are Christian religions. For all of those religions including Mormons it seems they have a LOT more in common than not. When someone honestly looks at the same scripture and comes to a different conclusion than us and we tell him that he is terrible or not fit for some office because of it then it is we who are the bigots.

I can’t fault anything you said. My first choice is Duncan Hunter....second Thompson and third Romney. I based my choice on issues alone. The sheeple.....well right now they are being led by the Church of Oprah and it’s goddess. Time to get on our knees and pray.

My prediction for the next ticket will be Romney/Thompson. I think Huckabee just took himself out of the running for the VP slot. That is a good thing.

I would prefer Hunter on the Ticket, but I don't think that the Republicans are looking for a victory in California and Romney will look for someone (other than Huckabee) who can generate some fire in the Bible Belt. Last time I looked, Tennessee is right smack in the middle of the Bible Belt.

If the ticket is Romney/Giuliani or Giuliani/anybody, I'll probably sit this one out.

You’ll have to decide yourself which case it might be. But just be aware that the side that produces the largest bulk of documentation by far is the antis (and they quote from both Mormon as well as Gentile sources).

Comparing the anti literature and the Mormon literature, it is my opinion that the anti literature is shallow, distorting, repetitive, and doesn’t compare to the extent, the depth, and the scholarship on the Mormon side.

But let me repeat a point I made on another thread. Because I enjoy learning about other religions, I have frequently visited book stores of many faiths: Baptist, Catholic, Mormon, Jewish, Buddhist, etc. Only in the bookstores of fundamentalist Christians will one find a whole section of books on the “cults,” which attack other religions. There is that section of Christianity that will spend hours upon hours pouring through the literature on other religions trying to find things that will embarrass them. I find a certain amount of aggression among the fundamentalists that wants to attack and destroy rather reach out with respect or go about their own business.

You realize a 9/11 attack would jump start a Rudy Guiliani surge or perhaps a Duncan Hunter one. That would throw a monkey wrench into the system for Dems as well.

The Evangelicals are slurping out of their mouths for Huckabee. They're promoting him with the fervor of true believers. He's their man.

Mormonism apologists raise the stoning of Stephen to defend the notion that God the Father Almighty has a flesh and bone body: "... but when Stephen saw him as he was being stoned it looked like he did." If you read the passage in the Greek, Stephen is indicating position, to the right of not right hand of a personal image ... Stepehen is quoted as 'seeing Jesus to the right of the majestic glory of God'. Are you right-handed or left-handed? This is not asking about your sepcific body part but your preference in dealing with objects.

Frankly, you've brought up the most cogent fact, it's getting too late for this sort of thing back here in East Tennessee. Goodnight, have a pleasant sleep.

Pax vobiscum

Short of winning a Mr. Universe contest, I don't think there is much that Hunter can do to generate a significant interest in his candidacy.

Quite frankly I fear for our country at this point. They way things are panning out in this election, I really believe that God (who has been merciful to us in the past) may be contemplating a judgment on our nation. By and large, as a nation we have abandoned God. As a Democratic Republic, we will get the leadership we ask for and the leadership we deserve. May God have mercy on us all.

I see something akin to Balaam and Balak in our immediate future as we as a nation seem determined to go the way of Molech and heathenism ... we’re not only placing ourselves in a spot to fall, we are definitely running away from God. What’s next? Share with the enemy how to defeat us? ... Oh, that’s right, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Jay Rockefeller and the democrats are already doing that as well as aiding the enemies by tying the hands of our own soldiers. Where are the Moabitess women?... Oh, right, pornography is one of the biggest industries in America, filling the airwaves over our land. Uh oh!

I find one interesting flaw with the analogy: You would not be a sole proprietorship, a corporation, and a limited liability partnership all at the same time.

Of course you can, and I've done it, as have many other people.

Let's say you're a doctor. You will likely practice medicine in my state through either a professional corporation (PC) or limited liability partnership (LLP). Let's say you own some expensive medical equipment such as an MRI. In my state, you will likely operate this through a corporation as a requirement of financial institutions (so they can easily take control of the asset and transfer ownership in the event of adverse circumstances). Finally, let's assume you buy and sell collectables. Since you are facing little legal liability, you will likely operate this as a sole proprietorship.

It is certainly possible for you to examine a patient, while employees are performing diagnostic tests, while you are taking orders from your website. In this case, you are doing business in three different forms at the same time.

That's funny because most of the Anti-Mormon literature is the old Mormon literature. Books like Bruce McConkie's Mormon Doctrine are a great source for quotes about the Mormons that Mormons run from.

Jerald and Sandra Tanner basically did nothing more than reprint a bunch of old Mormon literature and the Mormon Church went banannas. Now that it is all out there on the internet, you guys have to come to grips with it, but back in the 1960's and 1970's the Mormon church did its level best to suppress all that information.

Why don't you show us a good book on Mormon Doctrine written by a Mormon Apostle or Prophet that will clear up all these issues about what you guys believe or don't believe. It seems that everytime one of your apostles writes a book, it gets pulled from the shelves by the same guys who ordered it published.

Resty, Jesus IS God in a fleshly body. Satan cannot be a created being AND be the brother of God.
______________________________________________________________

It is so like you to dismiss those other scriptures since they do not fit your senario!

All were spirit before they received a body of flesh and blood which Lucifer/Satan never received because he did not keep his first estate.

After Jesus fulfilled the will of his Heavenly Father he received his glory the resurrected eternal Body of Flesh and Bone!

****

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO ST JOHN CHAPTER 17

Jesus offers the great intercessory prayer—He is glorified by gaining eternal life—He prays for his apostles and all the saints—How the Father and Son are one.

1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Or for Giuliani, it has been speculated that Huckabee is a stalking horse for Rudy. If he sinks where does he throw his support?

Maybe not even in Rudy's dreams. Huckabee per Rudy just points out how most GOP voters will find someone who isn't RG.

LDS Church responds to charge:

The authoritative Encyclopedia of Mormonism, published in 1992, does not refer to Jesus and Satan as brothers. It speaks of Jesus as the son of God and of Satan as a fallen angel, which is a Biblical account.

A spokeswoman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said Huckabee’s question is usually raised by those who wish to smear the Mormon faith rather than clarify doctrine.

“We believe, as other Christians believe and as Paul wrote, that God is the father of all,” said the spokeswoman, Kim Farah. “That means that all beings were created by God and are his spirit children. Christ, on the other hand, was the only begotten in the flesh and we worship him as the son of God and the savior of mankind. Satan is the exact opposite of who Christ is and what he stands for.”

Hilliary can't because the dems have elevated Harry Ried to such a prominent position. They don't dare attack Mormonism, it's such an obvious smear.

That, my FRiend is a classic example of LDS dissembling. If you read it very carefully you will notice that Jesus was not originally God, but is simply one of the beings that God created (pro-created actually is more apropos).

Mormons believe and privately teach that God the Father is the literal father of all the spirit children (including you and me) and numbered among those spirit children is one called Jesus.

You may correct me if I am wrong.
