“Democrats did this to piss off Turkey, so they could undermine the Iraq war. Take that to the bank”
DING!! DING!! DING!!
There are Democrats (And more importantly, thier FINANCIER’s), who won’t take victory in Iraq lying down...
Win or lose, they get to attack Repubs for either SUPPORTING GENOCIDE, or they get another chance for blood in Iraq, which helps the Democrats...
By PO’ing Turkey, they can destabilize the progress America has made in Iraq. Democrats doing the work of Al Qeada, and many will DIE as a result...
This isn’t just criminal behavior, It’s EVIL...
Turkey’s responsibility to deal with it’s past is its business, not that of the US Government.
As a believer in our Good Lord and Savior, there is no doubt in my mind, they will pay for their intentional destructive ways, no matter who they harm or kill for their lust of power.
This was authored by ADAM SCHIFF, a Soros-financed Democrat.
He DID vote to condemn MoveOn.Org recently for the “Betrayus” ad...
“Rep. Schiff is a member of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, the co-founder of the Democratic Study Group on National Security and a member of the House Appropriations Committee, the House Judiciary Committee and the House Select Intelligence Oversight Panel.
He represents Californias 29th Congressional District, which includes the communities of Alhambra, Altadena, Burbank, East Pasadena, East San Gabriel, Glendale, Monterey Park, Pasadena, San Gabriel, South Pasadena and Temple City.”
You left out a couple...
1. Freepers that are Armenian
2. Freepers that are married to an Armenian
You mean besides not letting us use our own bases in Turkey for the invasion of Iraq?
You are right. I missed those two.
“Democratic Study Group on National Security”
is that something out of southpark?
i laughed and wanted to hit something when i read that.
So you say Turkey is helping us? We pay them to permit us to pass overland. That's help? In the meantime they are threatening to invade Iraq to suppress rebel Kurds. Kurds in their country are their problem. Their border is their problem. If they invade Iraq, then the Turks become our problem as they will inflame the whole region. I don't know what kind of logic you use to call this help.
If you think they are helping because its the Democrats who have a problem with Turkey's refusal to acknowledge the Turks murderous behavior against the Armenians, then you have limited ability to logically analyze the world around you. The only friends we have in Turkey are secularists. The secularists have to rule with an iron fist to keep the murderous Islamic Turks at bay. The Iranians once were our friends until the Islamists took over. Turkey will likely go the same way in the long run. There is no such thing as freedom in a Muslim country. Ask any Christian living there, especially ones who just left.
There is no good reason why the Turks should not be shamed into seeing how Islam led them to slaughter a million Armenians. Hitler used the Armenian genocide as an example to his high command to convince them that no one will remember the atrocity coming to the Jews as no one remembers what happened to the Armenians.
God Bless your Nephew for his service. He is making a better world for future generations.
Thanks, he is scheduled to leave Iraq in about 10 days. Pray for our troops and their families.
The bill was sponsored by a Republican.
Maybe we could get Ahmadinejad and the Iraqi Shia on our side if try denying the Holocaust.
If I recall correctly, they entered WWII in the last year on the Allied side after it became apparent the Axis would lose. All through the Cold War, we had to bribe them to belong to NATO so we could use Turkey for forward basing. It was more to their interest to protect them from the Soviets. It seems to me, we paid for their help. Given their economy really sucked, they benefited from our protection and our money. I think we helped them more than they ever helped us. All they did was let us be there. In hindsight, I think we should have let them fend for themselves. We could have let the Soviets and Muslims kill each other. There is no good reason to trust Muslims. As you point out, after a half century of our support, they turned against us.
The U.S. is not denying slavery happened. Furthermore, didn’t klinton officially and publically appolgize for this atrocity? So your analogy is wrong.
Turkey gets 100s of millions in foreign aid from us each year. I’m guessing they don’t want to tip this apple cart over. Money always talks.
Turkey - Turkey didn’t allow our troops — at the last minute — in for the invasion of Iraq, as i recall. kind of messed us up big time for the Sunni Triangle pacification. so that wasn’t too darned friendly of an ally. that aside, the leaders of Turkey in the early 1900’s acted criminally against the Armenians, and the sooner the current leaders condemn and distance themselves from that kind of behavior, the better for Turkey’s soul, and for mankind. meanwhile, i can’t tolerate the idea that we would be on the side of covering up genocidal behavior just to get what we need. let’s try to maintain some principles....this is not a Democrat or Republican issue, but rather right or wrong.
how to equate “the idea that we would be on the side of covering up genocidal behavior” and bringing this event up at this time.
assuming this is all true what good comes of bringing it up at this time other then to derail our war effort in the middle east.
not wanting to start a possible world wide fubar DOES NOT equal pro-genocide.
Its a resubmission of a Republican bill H.Res.398 authored by Radonovich.
You conveniently omitted the others listed on the bill during your conspiracy theory.
Mr. SCHIFF (d) , Mr. RADANOVICH (r) , Mr. PALLONE (d), Mr. KNOLLENBERG (r), Mr. SHERMAN (d) , and Mr. MCCOTTER (r)
this legislation has been brought up every year or so for some time in an attempt to pass it - it was actually recently delayed to respect the Turkish leadership and not to influence the election this past summer. so it didn’t just pop up out of nowhere.
So we need to kowtow to Radical Islamists in order to further our nation building efforts in the Islamic Republic of Iraq??
