Sky News Update:

Terror Chief 'Killed In Internal Battle'

Updated: 09:59, Tuesday May 01, 2007

The leader of al Qaeda in Iraq has been killed, Iraq's Interior Ministry has said.

Abbu Ayyub al Masri was killed in an "internal battle", according to the ministry.

However, there is no independent confirmation of the report.

Brigadier-General Abdul Kareem Khalaf told the Reuters news agency: "We have definite intelligence reports that al Masri was killed today."

Another source in the ministry also said al Masri had been killed, Reuters said.

The US military has not confirmed the reports - but it has a $5m bounty on the terror chief's head.

There has been increasing friction between Sunni Islamist al Qaeda and other Sunni Arab insurgent groups in Iraq.

Local groups are said to be angered over al Qaeda's indiscriminate killing of Iraqi civilians.

Al Masri, an Egyptian, assumed the leadership of al Qaeda in Iraq after Jordanian militant Abu Musab al Zarqawi was killed in a US air strike in June 2006.

The US military has described al Masri, also known as Abu Hamza al Muhajir, as a close al Zarqawi associate.

I wonder if his replacement will be another foreigner or an Iraqi.

With all the infighting, I wonder if his replacment will last one month.

Pelosi will be the replacement, so I guess the replacement will be a foreigner.

The mainstream media must be experiencing "shock and awe" right now. They have come to believe their own lies, that is, that we should withdraw because we haven't created the conditions on the ground which would enable us to stabilize Iraq. They've even convinced themselves, and many of their readers, that IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to stabilize the country sufficiently.

The sea-change depicted in this one episode, wherein an al-Qaida chieftan is killed by an "insurgency" fighting on the side of the US and Iraqi military, is putting the lie to the media's depiction of futility. It is putting the lie to the media's depiction of the "failed" Bush strategy. It is putting the lie to the media's conclusion as to which side's winning the war. It is putting the lie to the media's contention as to what the Iraqi people really want.

When historians attempt to assess how the Democratic Party could have been so stupid as to take the losing side in this war, the answer will be simple: THEY BOUGHT THE MEDIA'S LIES. All of them.

The Democrats and their supplicant media have hoped all along for a defeat for America in Iraq, and thus a defeat for Bush. So the media has engaged in "wishful thinking" reporting from the beginning. The lefty consumers of this fantasy reporting have willingly participated, also in "wishful thinking" mode. The fantasy world they created has caused them to be unprepared for what is coming. They will literally be "mugged by reality".

US military still won't confirm however, but still...

YEE-HAW!

As soon as the military confirms, I'll do cartwheels down Haifa Street.

....Well, OK...I won't do that, but I WILL celebrate. And I will deliver a genuine Texas "Yeeeeehaaaaaa!" ;-)

I'm struck by how Trumanesque Reid looks in that photo. And Reid is a lot like Truman

Truman's Democratic administration pulled our troops out of South Korea too soon, in the late 1940's.

As a result, Kim il-Sung, the Communist dictator in North Korea, easily conquered most of South Korea in 1950.

In just 30 months, Truman sacrificed 30,000 American lives in order to win back South Korea, which we never should have abandoned in the first place.

Ah...yes...Nanceep el Osi, the co-leader of Al Demo Qrati, the political arm of Al Qaeda in America.

This is great news. Boy, these bad guys have more leaders then a liberal big city school system has. I guess they have internal issues because of big government too, hence the “internal battle”.

Now we can claim that Al Qaeda is killing the Terrorists.

This forebodes a change in policy on the Caliphate and the Islamic Republic of Iraq which probably just ended because it was a loser for Al Qaeda.

Abu Ayyub al-Masri, has been killed in a struggle within his own group

Maybe they should try short-straw or secret ballot or show of hands. It could save on bullets.

(Al Qaeda Leader In Iraq 'Killed')

I'll bet he was glad he was only 'killed' and not killed or "killed", as the former won't ruin your entire day, I guess.

Tribes in Fallujah and Abu Ghraib got reports that the Al Qaeda leader was present north of Iraq and they moved in to take him out...

according to CNN International just now...

It looks like it wasn’t really Al Qaeda infighting per se, but more, as I suspected, the sunni tribes who are not too keen on the islamic califate under Al Qaeda leadership.

They are virgins, but clones of Rosie O'Donut. Fat, ugly, lesbians.

I am really starting to like those Sunni Tribes!

This is what I like to see. The Iraqis doing it themselves and standing up for themselves instead of the Americans.
