Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

I would like a statement from you that genuine conservatives, in working through the important issues of our day, can disagree. We can come to different conclusions. Our analyses may differ. We can make our best cases to persuade each other without resorting to "you're a treasonous liberal" BS.

Or, I would like you to politely ask the Giuliani supporters to leave, since our efforts contradict your desires. I would heartily respect either position.

Maggie, genuine conservatives do not support Rudy.
Liberals? Yes.
Libertarians? Perhaps.
Conservatives? HELL NO!

I go to FR for conservative news and opinion, not for leftist spin about why I should support a candidate who would be the most liberal Republican nominee since the pro-abortion Gerald Ford. Anything Jim does to purge FR of pro-Rudy spam has my full support.

..........

But calling Giuliani supporters names is disgusting.

Now Maggie, ain’t that a tad hypocritical? I had opined that some of the Rudymites here on FR are paid employees or consultants of Rudy's campaign. Had not accused anyone specifically, but did politely inquire of A51--who refused to answer. You called me a liar, Maggie, and now you’ve got the nerve to complain about name calling?

That was England, our national heritage really started almost a hundred years later.”

Thats right.

But yes, I have found your posts to be uncharacteristically harsh and personally mean-spirited the past few days.

Maybe two weeks ago or so, but I was barely on FR this last week.

Easy to dismiss the truth, isn't it?

You claimed Reagan was pro abortion. Provide a link, or retract it.

:O)

But Flashbunny, to be fair Rudy didn't know the caller had Parkinson's. However, even if the caller had been completely healthy, Rudy could have handled the call far better and didn't have to respond in kind.

Notice how the media unfairly exploited that incident, btw.

You asked for proof of such a post and it was provided. It’s so interesting that you have nothing to say to those freepers who are even contemplating voting for Hillary instead of Rudy.

You think anyone who is pro choice is an abortionist.

Only liberal abortionists use a term like "pro-choice".

Actually, you didn’t post his entire post. His post was two lines, you posted one of them. It really doesn’t matter all that much, except for the fact that you are asserting your quoted his whole post when you didn’t.

Well, that’s one. Any more?

I haven't been watching the [insert name of potential Republican presidential candidate here] bash-a-palooza threads closely enough to know. I searched for that one because you asked for it. I'd have no easy way of searching for others.

Even conservative columnists have admitted he signed what was at the time the most liberal abortion bill in the nation and it opened the door to more liberal bills. Get over it. You’ve been proven wrong.

Calling Rudy a homo suckup? How classy of you. /s

Well, yeah. If they take the pro-abortion political position then they are “abortionists” and the subscribe to “abortionism.” Same as those who take the extreme left feminazi position, they are “feminists” and support the cause of “feminism.” Just as we have environmentalists, environmentalism, homosexualists, homosexualism, etc. Political movements and political causes supported do define the person.

quidnick, according to Jim Robinson, attacked the founding fathers to try by tearing them down to make Rudy look better. It rubbed Jim the wrong way.

Mia T. posted a vanity thread where she claimed that if we don’t vote for Rudy, the blood of all the dead babies would be on our hands. Then she said Fred was a globalist DC politician who couldn’t be trusted. It turned out she had posted two other vanity-style threads this month attacking Fred. In one she said denounced his lack of experience while completely ignoring his senate career, and in the other she claimed he was deceiving us and running just to help McCain. She linked both of those into her “what is pro-life” thread, hijacking and spamming her own thread.

And she made two posts that were so bad she deleted them.

That is what got her banned.

But you are correct, you did not say that “every” person was being banned, and I apologize for the hyperbole. Without looking back, I’ll just say that the impression you left with me in the preponderance of your posts was that you think pro-rudy posters are being unfairly targetted for banning for no good reason, that you are in fear of being banned, and that there are an unspecified but supposedly large number of freepers who are afraid to even admit to being rudy supporters for fear of being banned.

If that is not what you meant to convey tonight, I am sorry I got the wrong impression, and you can decide for yourself tomorrow whether you are comfortable with giving me that impression.
