I don’t see it that way. What’s happened is that the “Win At All Costs” faction has finally been unmasked by Rudy. They could hide it with Bush because he was somewhat conservative, but with Rudy there really is no excuse for tossing out principle just to get a win in ‘08. Conservatives have to draw a line somewhere, and I for one am glad to see Jim do just that. That’s not a kiss up statement either because Jim probably still doesn’t like me (can’t figure out why).

Well, we know how well that worked out in 2006. Good luck with it.
I’m afraid that your version of conservatism is going the way of the dinosaurs.

Meow, pffft, pfft, pfft! You can’t tell a woman when you hear one? :)
Course, I could be wrong, but I don’t think so.

You will KEEP me around as an example - thats rich. FR has become one big circle jerk. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. I mourn the great site this once was. Goodbye Jim. It was a great decade and its been an interesting ride. I wish you and your family nothing but happiness. Life is too short for this kind of nonsense. Why do you think that has happened?
Maybe fear, but many of them never believed it in the first place.

Boy this thread is still going?
I am busy working on the vote I told you about. Having GREAT luck.
I'm coming to Boise in the AM, but will only stay a short time, no baby yet.

Thanks for cleaning house Jim. I don't mind debating the Rudybots, but when they start to live up to that nickname, it gets a bit tiring. I still can't believe some of the things I've read here; things that "conservatives" posted to justify Giuliani's liberalism. I actually saw one OF (Old FReeper)
praise NYC's gun laws in order to support Giuliani's anti-gun history. This was an OF, not some clueless n00b or a retread! I had to reread the post twice to make sure I was really seeing this.
The Rudybots' one and only reason to support the guy is "he can beat Hillary". I want to scream "But he IS Hillary!" And they too are turning into Hillary to support Giuliani. They are taking positions on issue after issue that are lockstep with Her Heinous; all to justify Giuliani's liberalism. They are clearly on the wrong web site.
I don't care if Giuliani really is the one and only candidate that can beat Clinton. I've said this before: I'd rather see the Party lose an election than see it lose its soul.

here's my diagram about where to sit (IMHO)
The dark gray area is where you want to be! Best view, best company, best results!

"Goodbye Jim. It was a great decade and its been an interesting ride. I wish you and your family nothing but happiness. Life is too short for this kind of nonsense. Please close my account."For this plan to actually work, you must never post again. Never. < /wishful thinking >
It's kinda like kicking the sauce ... one day at a time, so I'm told. You can do this.
