Same here from what I saw he played very well in yesterdays game. He had a sack, a forced fumble and lead the team in sacks.

Without further information, all I can say is he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I dont know this guy. I will assume he was an ok guy. That said I am willing to bet he hung around some shady characters. Which for the life of me I wont understand. 24 years old a millionaire why he needs to be hanging around thugs I will never get

Again, I dont know him or who his freinds were. Just a guess.

Pointing it out does not make you racist, but it extends beyond rap. The US went to hell when drugs became widely available and used during the '60s. Black families were mostly intact before then and blacks knew the value of a good education. When drugs came to the community, dealing and stealing was a way to support the habit and to make money. Then doped up criminals with guns took over and people were dying all over the black neighborhoods. Liberals responded by offering money to people to stay doped up and unemployed and trying to take away guns from everybody. Drugs and government handouts have enslaved the inner city and made people stupid. They think that standing on the street corner, getting high and waving a gun is a business model for success. Prayers for Williams' family and the Broncos organization.

Yep. Guns and Rap are slowly creeping from Basketball to Football. Basketball is a lost cause IMHO. I hope the NFL stops it before it is too late.

Consider that the NFL did nothing to discipline Ray Lewis.

he was a classy guy..I remember one year he had a truly sucky season and offered to give his salary back because he felt he hadn't earned it..Gene Autry refused his offer and paid him anyway..

It happend at 11th and Speer. Speer Boulevard is a through street that runs along the west side of downtown Denver. It runs by the Pepsi Center. Mostly businesses and some lofts, as well as the Auraria campus line the 4 lane boulevard. As far as I know it's not a high crime area.

Basketball isn't lost yet. (See: PHX SUNS!!) Besides being a Suns fan, I think culturally their success is absolutely critical to the sport. If they can win the NBA championship, it will send a message that "thug ball" is not necessary to success.

From the ESPN article:

In December, Williams spoke of his desire to return to his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, this offseason to talk to kids about staying out of gangs.

I'll let that stand to those who say he probably mixed with the wrong crowd.

I can't see how any fan would be ticked off with his performance last night.

Was he supposed to throw the game and didn't? You know, just because the Broncs lost doesn't mean these deals don't need to be enforced.

Heck, I can make speculations without data with the best of them! ;-)
