SYRIA MULLS S-300PMU2 SYSTEM

MOSCOW [MENL] -- Syria has been discussing the procurement of the advanced S-300 air and missile defense system from Russia.

Industry sources said Syrian President Bashar Assad was briefed on the S-300PMU2 during his visit to Moscow. They said Bashar has agreed in principle to procuring the S-300 and focused on price and other details with his Russian interlocutors.

"Syria wants a strategic air defense system that would present a major threat to Israeli warplanes," a source said. "I think Assad will buy and deploy the S-300 over the next few months."

The S-300PMU2, known as Favorit and produced by Almaz, has been priced at more than $600 million per unit. The sources said Russia has agreed to reduce the price of the long-range air defense systems in exchange for Russian Navy basing rights at the Syrian ports of Latakia and Tartous.

The Rodina rises again -- anyone who thinks these communists are the friends of America is a damned fool.

"I think Assad will buy and deploy the S-300 over the next few months."

And Iran will probably get them via Belarus.

Russia had better get paid in cash because Baby Assad won't have anything like oil to pay off his debt.

I think we need to send Senator Nelson back to see his buddy baby baashir assad, the baathist bum. Perhaps he can use his superb diplomatic "skills" to convince the dictator that America (soft leftwing America) means no harm to that beacon of freedom, liberty, and democracy --- Syria.

Technically they already have them, or at least Russia has them installed around their growing naval bases in Syria.

Russia is REALLY loving those warm water ports. As a nation, they have yearned for warm water access for CENTURIES.

Great, then when it's on it's way, we can take it out. Like I said, Russia should be sure to get paid in cash in advance (and then they can let us know when it's being shipped)

I'm Really sick of this S4it!!!!
This is the same mentality that gave us the "SAM CITY" of Hanoi..
And I lost a lot of good friends being vaporized by Russian SAMs then...
If you have a threatening target, take it out BEFORE it gets fortified..
to do less is a waste of American lives...

Comrade Putin continues arming the Axis of Evil crowd for a major war in which Putin mistakenly believes he will share in the 'victory' over Israel and the West.

Russia will be destroyed has a result of this coming war and the Russian public should look no further then to their vicious, manipulating KGB 'leader' for answers, if there are any remaining in the rubble.

Humanity is simply not ready for this kind of technology, but this is what humanity has brought upon itself ever since American scientists successfully "reverse engineered" the transistor from the wreckage of the 1947 Roswell crash. Oh well.... guess the genie is out of the bottle now....
