any charge that it would be a SIGNIFICANT issue [which you so conventiently added] is in your imagination. No one said it was significant. Obama has major baggage over and above his name. But, go ahead, alienate everyone.
They sure are. Obama, himself admits it.
You'd have to be a moron to think that a name of HITLER would have no subliminal value to an electorate.
Do you care that he attended a Madrassah school in Indonesia in his young and
formative years? I do.
Those of the Muslim faith cannot seem to differentiate between the fanatics and the rest--they're all Muslims first.

This is interesting:

As a fledgling Christian, Obama didnt join just any church. He joined the United Church of Christ. The United Church of Christ is very anti-Israel and supports divestment. It also sponsors speeches at its many functions by the Arab "Christian" pro-terror religious organization, Sabeel. Sabeel holds some of its biggest meetings in Chicago.
So we're arguing over something that you admit is insignificant? Well, why didn';t you tell me in the first place?
What if the middle name were Hitler? Or last name of Hitler? I suspect it would matter.
Are you a muslim? Your fanatical defense of Barack Hussein is quite peculiar.
Oh, my. There are nine people in the U.S. with published phone numbers who have the last name Hitler.
And this:
He's not even an Afro American but he sure plays that card well
takes the cake.
His father's from Kenya (which is in Africa, by the way) and his mother's from Kansas (which is, I believe, in America). If that doesn't make someone the very definition of "African-American", I don't know what does.
Conservatives are going to have to come up with much more intelligent political arguments against a potential Obama candidacy than the ones on this thread or we are in BIG trouble.
If his middle name were Hitler, I'd worry about his parents. If you have evidence that he was named after Hussein (who was 24 and I believe a student at Cairo University at the time of Obama's birth), I'd worry about his parents. The name his parents chose for him does not affect my view of him, however.
lol !
Don't say "we." "We" is a cheep rhetorical trick, the functional equivalent of saying "Me and my big brother want..." Don't be afraid to say what you think and feel, just because it's abhorrent to the vast majority of Americans. I promise to be polite.
Look, you don't like the guy because of his grandfather's religion. I think that's completely illegitimate and I think punishes him for something completely out of his control. Punish him for things that are in his control -- like his crazy far-left political beliefs.
You just refuse to read what I've said.
My post 48 right after you began your diatribe:
Quote:
Obama has zillions of marks against him. His name is not the most important one.

No, I never said it was the worst thing about Obama ... just one of many things.
And we're not arguing. you're making a fool of yourself.
You stubbornly refuse to admit any subliminal impact of his name.
I suspect you think all advertising is hokus pokus by extension. Names matter. Companies spend massive amounts of money thinking of the right one. Don't delude yourself into thinking that the presidential election has no parallel.
You know, as a child I escaped the Holocaust, so this is a question that hits kind of close to home. To be honest, if Joe Hitler had absolutely nothing other than his name to do with Adolf Hitler, his name wouldn't be enough to deter me from voting for him.
Now if he turned out to be a crazy like Obama, that would deter me. If he were a Nazi like Adolf Hitler, that would definitely deter me. But his unfortunate name? I'd like to think I'm big enough to vote for a good, qualified candidate regardless of his name. I actually had a cousin with the unfortunate name of Adolf, and he was killed by the Germans.
