Steve Martin should be able to get two more verses out of this revelation.

A recent "I Shouldn't Be Alive" episode about a fellow that severely
fractured his leg (12 breaks) in a fall (in Canyonlands?) mentioned his
injury was potentially lethal.
Enough breakage can mean totally messed up circulation and likely breakage
of skin for infection.
(The guy was rescued, but the leg couldn't be saved due to a day
or so without attention)

Really cold case. Accidental or murder?

Infection or fat embolus from the fracture?

I would imagine Tut was closely guarded and that he certainly didnt do much physically that would cause a compound fracture of his thigh. That takes a pretty good lick. Maybe he fell out of his chariot while at full gallop.

His fracture most resembled what jockeys receive when they fall of horses is what I heard.
