Let's see now…Best Buy's selling products manufactured by the PLA, they are increasing our trade deficit with the PRC, helping the PLA modernize their Navy and militarize space, and whose High Def products are forcing our utilities to build more coal fired power plants…and you're getting all upset over their pandering to non-Christians?

Well guess what?
I am Jewish. And I am still pissed off
by that blatant anti religious, anti Christian
and I am sure, anti Jewish attitude and policy.

So the bunch of new Audio/HDTV and washer/dryer I
WAS going to purchase at Best Buy will just have to be purchased somewhere with a better attitude.

Oh,yes.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Chanukah Best Buy!!!

Christians are the majority. We can and should intimidate them.

Oh, the irony...

My other response to this thread:

Political considerations aside, and political correctness, Best Buy has always been among the best consumer companies about...right up to the point of sale...then it's caveat emptor writ large...BUYER BEWARE...after you leave these premises...YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!!!...It makes sense that a corporation with such a philosophy would not want to associate itself with Christmas...Luckily, we have Circuit City in my neighborhood, as well.

We have had more than one clash with Best Buy. I won't recount them in your detail. We simply won't buy anything at that (God)awful company for the rest of my life.

Just sent this off to Mizzzz Bryannt

Interesting,..... What day in December is an "Official Federally Recognized Holiday" that everyone gets off work for even if happens on a normal work week day? Hint, it occurs every December 25th. Figured out the correct name for the holiday yet? It's Christmas and not anything else. Now, get with the program and knock off the PCism. The holiday is Christmas and the correct phrase is Merry Christmas, not Happy Holidays or anything else.

We'll see if anything comes back that in the words of Gen. Honnere isn't "Stuck On Stupid!"

The Best Buy in my city never has what I want and you can never find anyone that knows anything. If you are lucky enough to find a clerk and ask a question, all you get is a blank stare. I give Circuit City all my business. By the way, Dawn's statement is laughable. What BS.

Whether Worst Buy uses Merry Christmas or not won't affect me -- I stopped shopping there months ago. Worst Buy does not take well to cash paying customers such as myself -- we get to wait in the "cash only" line an extra 20 minutes before being checked out. Worst Buy mistreats its customers in sooooo many ways....

They are a couple years slow in dissing Christmas. The ones that have dissed it in the past, now are back to Christmas!

>>we certainly need to be respectful of all of them

So SAY all of them! Say Merry Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving,
Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanzaa, etc.! Be inclusive not exclusive--this means please ALL your shoppers by saying the name of Christmas, AND the others. And even those who aren't religious have to admit:

The holiday on Dec 25 is CHRISTMAS
We are giving CHRISTMAS gifts
I have the day off from work because of CHRISTMAS
I won't be shopping for my CHRISTMAS gifts at Best Buy

Kohls has run a happy holidays commercial in the Milwaukee area market yet they run a banner on their web site showing how many days to December 25th.
