The media has always shilled for the Clinton's and it's not going to change. CNN wasn't called The Clinton News Network for nothing. It was run by Rick Kaplan who only recntly departed MSNBC (after turning them even more left wing than they were in the past) and he is and has been a dedicated FOB(Friend of Bill Clinton)... it was Kaplan that groomed Hillary for her appearance on 60 minutes where she had the headbank in her hair and talked about baking cookies..

People need to realize we are up against pros.. . Rham Emanuel who masterminded the Dems win this year is a very tight Clintonista... This is all why we have to run someone wildly popular and charismatic or the GOP will be trampled in 2008, this isn't the year for National unknowns.

I don't know if you remember about a year ago we had a very long thread here where several people and one in particular said she would not vote for Sanatorium because he supported Specter over Toomey... and no amount of trying to talk common sense worked. This is what I fear for 2008 -- It's fine to be an ideologue -- in a primary.

That's exactly what happened. It's all I've been hearing from people in that state. Also, he decided to campaign with the message "my opponent is a hypocrite because he's more pro-life than I am" message.

I totally agree. That's the sick irony of it, that the amnesty approach is more likely now.

At least here in San Diego, we still have Brian Bilbray and Duncan Hunter who are both strong on the issue. Jim Sensenbrenner was reelected comfortably. I didn't see these guys suffer for it, quite the opposite. And I still think most people want enforcement.

Interesting. The betrayed conservatives made "perfect" the enemy of "good", and helped to lose the election. But they aren't the whole reason for the loss.

Republicans still haven't figured out how to deal with the MSM and its continual attacks and distortions.

That said: I still can not believe that they turned our country over to rats. Unfreakinbelivable.

I think vote fraud might have played a part in the losses too. I understand in FL?- they found a bunch of votes where every other part of the ballot was counted, but the machine did not count the vote for senator.

Someone on the radio was asking how it was that people in Arizona voted for all measures on the ballot against illegals, but, then voted out the authors of the initiatives. Could this explain it? There's also the JD Hayworth race- they found hundreds of thousands of ballots that hadn't been counted.

But, I wonder if Republicans would have the cajones to look into vote fraud? I'm not sure they would. There is nothing more important than protecting the voting process, I mean, if the voter machines can be rigged- the pubbies will NEVER be elected again. That's it for our country.

The 250000 ballots in Arizona are absentee votes. We have a lot of senior citizens who travel a lot of the year and vote absentee. I have hope they will end up electing JD and passing the marriage ammendment. We have three large universities in this state with liberal centers, one is in the heart of JD's district and you know they are voting more and more thanks to Howard Dean.

Dont get me wrong. I actually like Rudy and know he would be very very valuable somewhere within our federal government. Look how he cleaned up NYC.

I just fear he may have a problem with the conservative base.

If the electorate was demanding conservatism, then why did strong, principled conservatives lose? Incumbent conservatives such as Rick Santorum, George Allen, J.D. Hayworth and Curt Weldon to name a few. Superb conservative newcomers such as Ken Blackwell and Michael Steele.

What this guy fails to realize is that liberal Republicans lost; the election, in my opinion, was a normal six year election.

If the Republicans had held on to the Congress, this guy would NOT have been writing "Americans reject Democrats in all forms".

Republicans lost the normal number of seats. Let's pretend the governing party had ACTED like its base wanted them to act. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Then I see a different picture emerging! They probably would not have lost so many seats!
