Maybe the NYT hasn't figured out that Iraq had to have a pretty extensive nuclear program underway (again), all of which proves that Bush was RIGHT!

There were no WMDs in Iraq, and there is no evidence that Saddam was researching them or working to acquire them, but when evidence of said research is posted publically, it might help other badguys with research, even though there is no evidence of WMDs in Iraq, and the other guys were further along in their nuke program?
Only the New York Times could come up with that story.

If this is anything remotely like the information the NYTs is referring to, it could easily be turned around on them - if it VERFIES that Iraq was developing nukes prior to the war then it is in GW's favor.
My hunch is that unless there's some concrete information behind this story, which I doubt there is, the idea here is to instigate a "no WMD found in Iraq" and "Bush lied" dialogue in the MSM.

The simple truth was that he DID have a team of scientists who given the go-ahead could have constructed a bomb and missle system in about the same time that Iran has taken. With the embargo lifted, which was bound to happen, he would have been in the same position that Iran is now.

If I get the story right, the Times will blame the Bush administration (Rumsfeld, et al ) for releasing on a web site information that would tell how to make a nuke. Problem is, info doesn't matter. You must be able to do some things that require special processing of atoms. Can't do it in your garage.
