My guess: Iran's determination to further its nuclear program is tied directly to our decision to invade Iraq, that Iran warned us as such, and it's Bush's fault that Iran is pursuing nukes.
Your guess is pretty close to my guess: a Republican administration secretly gave/sold nuke technology to Iraq.

Even if hit piece, I expect an Osama tape, a Saddam Hussein guilty verdict, and more focus on national security. In some measure this hurts the RATS, particularly if we unleash the Dick Morris commercial.

If they publish anything remotely anti-admin 3 days out the paper will finally be flushed. As of now its circling the bowl and fowling the air.
While that is true, it is important to remember that the media is the propaganda machine of the Dems. Look at the way they all rallied around Kkerry when his treachery was plain as day.
The drive by media will run with whatever this is right through the Sunday morning shows.

IMHO - It's something that will make President Bush look bad, or something that will keep conservatives from voting, or something that will demoralize our people and make liberals feel great.
Or it's something that will undermind troop morale or boost the terrorists. Or all of the above. The New York Times has weighed in - they're fighting for the dems...
the real question we should be asking is - why the RNC has no apparatus to know what is going on. the entire US media is against us, and these stories "pop up" in every election cycle in the last weekend, and we are always blindsided by them.

I bet this is positive. Think of it this way, Friday is the last possible day they could publish pro-GOP Iraq news. They cannot hold it until after the election - that would be even too much for them. Waiting to publish it on Friday means that dems could take a hearty lead and GOP will only have 2 news days to defeat it. And after thousands of absentee ballots have already come in.
I predict good news on Iraq front for GOP. Thanks, Rove.

Well, there it is. It's a dud. In that it's something the Dems and the MSM can spin endlessly but there are probably A LOT of holes in the story. In other words, an attempt to get the Kerry flap off the charts. I'm still of the mind that Rove and Co. have something up their sleeves.
