The Ali G show is one of the funniest things I've seen on TV in a long time. His "interview" with C. Everett Koop is one of the most inspired things I've ever witnessed. "Son, I'm pretty sure you're a moron..."
Borat is King! I can't wait to see this film.

They had an article about the movie in the Wall Street Journal. As Borat he claims that "he has nothing to do with this guy Cohen" ... and to "kill the Jew".
Are the old Ali G Shows worth watching?
To: MadIvan
Shouldn't have had the speakers turned WAY UP. The music was painful and wonderful, and I nearly choked on my coffee.
Do you remember that fad website that made the rounds several years ago, I believe he was a Turkish guy who's friends made a gag website. Can't remember his name, but it was very similar to Borat.
I wonder if that was where Cohen got his inspiration.

I suppose it takes a sort of "South Park Conservative" sense of humor to enjoy Ali-G. Some would find him crude. The basic premise of his skits are that he manages to secure interviews with some very well established people, Pat Buchanan, Donald Trump, Andy Rooney, C Everett Koop etc etc. These people show up for what they believe is a serious interview with someone from the BBC or other legit British news agency. Ali-G is there in his "bling" and gangsta outfits and uses ghetto street slang to ask absurd questions of his guests. Hilarity ensues. If you are familiar with the website "You Tube" you can find many of his skits there.

Youtube has some deleted scenes from the movie up. The best one is him telling a doctor that he has had many STDs "Ladies love Borat, high five".
