[M]illions of youngsters waving the Hizbullah and resistance flags . . . have proven that this nation is on the brink of a new phase in its history.

When you start believing in your own orchestrated demonstration, other delusions are sure to follow. It does, however, show the connected nature of terror and governments in the Middle East. We talked with friends in Thailand this evening (Morning there) and they told us not to stay in an American or any large hotel in Bangkok as the ingredients for some nasty explosives have "gone missing" near Bangkok. "The goods included 12 tonnes of chlorine powder, 8,000 litres of lubricants, 80 buckets of vegetable oil, 100 mobile phones, 10 notebook computers and two sets of cameras for making maps." (From a Bangkok post story that assures us there is no danger, just a misunderstanding.

Assad can't be this stupid.

I think he's grandstanding. He is probably being blamed in part for Hisbullah's lost. So now he's going to act beligerant until his aides talk him out of it.

Agreed about the 22nd, it is a date to be watched closely.

Ass-ad is the captive of his yes-men.

To me it is so "Arab" to get your butt kicked in battle, your stooges killed in droves, driven out of a territory you have occupied for 15 years and yet, still call it a "victory".

So very "Arab"

The Golan will go back to Ass-ad as radioactive dust, courtesy of his Iranian "allies".

The irony will no doubt escape him.

Cheers,

"...and the response to ANY terrorist act on U.S. Citizens ANYWHERE, is a full all-out assault on Syria, Iran, and Lebanon."

Come one, what the heck was 9/11 but a full assault and we all know Iran/Syria/Saudi Arabia were behind/funding the whole thing ... and where is our "full all-out assault".
Yes Afghanistan and Iraq were/are important ... but this is just dancing around the edges.
There will be no "full all-out" assault no matter what Syria or Iran do either tomorrow or on Aug. 22.

We'll just draw another line in the sand and send Condi to "negotiate". And our children and grandchildren will eventually have to deal with this problem when the outcome will be very uncertain.

If we would even consider an all-out war with these animals, we would not have forced Israel to accept this "ceasefire" or terrorist rearmament period.

The US has lost its nerve politically and will do NOTHING, no matter what Syria or Iran does. We can't even agree on stopping illegal criminal aliens from swarming across our boarders ... what makes you think the politicians will do anything about an attack by Syria or Iran on Israel or even our troop in Iraq!

Try absolute and utter frustration with Bush and his pussy-footing with the military and this whole War on Terror strategy!
We should be revoking the citizenship of ANY muslime in the US and rounding them up in this country and shipping them off to their beloved Saudi Arabia. Iran and Syria should not even exist by now if we were serious about this problem.

Syria and the resistance (referring to Hizbullah) read the situation correctly in that we predicted the confrontation

That's no great trick when you started the damn conflict!

"We predicted we'd start this war." Moron!

I do not think he is grandstanding. In Syria,Assad is considered the weak one. His brother(who died), was the stronger one and suppose to inherit Syria. I think he out to prove that he is strong.

I would like to see the faces of the Syrian army's commander when he has learned a 155mm neutron bomb/shell has wiped out their army

LOL................................oh Little Assad, you pathetic little weasel. Don't even try it. Tough talk coming from you is akin to my four year old son glaring at me when I tell him to eat his veggies.

F**king Muslims. Such big talkers until the shooting starts against a professional army.....then they piss their pants and hide among the civilians. Syria, Hezbollah/Lebanon, Iran, the lot of 'em........such incredible pussies.
