Every public spokesperson who addresses the war on terror needs to include a brief statement that includes the scope of this problem else people think it's limited. Islamofascists are on a land grab across the world. (For example, Thailand had over 40 bombs and 100 attacks in the last few days.) Until our icons do this and the media reports it on the night time news, (1) the democrats will have a platform to snipe at the President, (2) the population will be asleep to the threat all around us.

Good old Mayor Koch. I lived in Manhattan when he was mayor- and of course disagreed with him often- but by God he loves New York City and America.

What a pleasure to hear a liberal agree with a strong policy against our enemies- in the old days there used to be a lot of that kind of thing. Dems would sometimes agree with Repubs and vice versa...and not for grandstanding and BS the way it is today. Scoop Jackson is rolling in his grave.

Ed Koch IS right... its a war that has been raging for 1400 years and to the Islamofascists - the Jews are merely one of many targets. They want every infidel on the planet dead also and this desire of theirs is not mere rhetoric. Let's recall the Americans they abducted, tortured and murdered. 9/11 was their message to us. "We're not fighting to talk to you or obtain something from you that we want - we're fighting to eliminate you." It couldn't be any clearer and its heartening some Americans do still get the stakes involved over there in the Middle East.
