Mideast governments will never be our "partners." Those governments are run by the enemy.

I believe that the entire UAE is actually the CIA.

There, I said it, and I shall stand by that belief.

Too bad the White House did such a bumbling job on this whole debacle, they have only themselves to blame.
One of the main jobs of an effective president is explaining and promoting policy to the American people. Bush gets an F- on this...

Well the mob is really happy about the deal collapsing. China is probably laughing their backsides off because the morons in congress still haven't figured out that they've got the west coast deal, the Saudis and Kuwaitis are sniggering at them as well seeing as they have deals right now in NY and NJ.

All in all, congress looks pretty foolish.

"I'm concerned about a broader message this issue could send to our friends and allies around the world, particularly in the Middle East," said Bush during an appearance before a conference of the National Newspaper Association. "In order to win the war on terror, we have got to strengthen our friendships and relationships with moderate Arab countries in the Middle East."

There are no moderate Arabs. I'm been shown the error of my ways by our Republican led Congress. They are all terrorists, or at very least eager to look the other way when a terrorist gives them the secret handshake. Michelle Malkin was right. FDR's rounding up of the Japanese is justifiable. We should be doing that with the Arabs today. The rest should be left to be slaughtered, and when their tyrants cannot adequately control their masses incapable of ever getting ahold of this "freedom thing", we should just finish off by nuking Mecca.

Analysts said the developments could make cash-rich investors in the Persian Gulf, where there is the widespread belief that the furor was rooted in anti-Arab bias, wary of high-profile investments in the United States. And the latest round of negotiations on a new free-trade arrangement between the U.S. and the UAE, scheduled for Monday in the United Arab Emirates, was postponed.

No matter, we don't need them! Infact, we don't want their oil either. They can take that back, and since our enviro's are also right it would be wrong to use our own, solar power is the way to go.

It is truly unfortunate both for us and President Bush that he is not much of a spontaneous communicator. I don't mean just flappin' his mouth like some other microphone hogging president we were forced to endure for eight years, who happens to be the President's new bro. But can you imagine if President Bush could speak to us as effectively as President Reagan did.

It really is incumbent that President Bush start getting out there with a fierce attitude for things he believes in and desires to see happen and do what is neccessary to convince the American people that his vision is worth fighting for.

He has let too many items on his agenda to slip by. However, the most important one by far, he has excelled in, and that is protecting the United States and her citizens from another attack by the demented Islamofascists, which is more than his miscreant bro, Bill, ever did despite all of his meaningless blather.

President Bush said Friday the collapse of the Dubai ports deal could hurt U.S. efforts to recruit Mideast governments as partners in the worldwide war on terror.

Partners, that shake down their friends like a criminal protection syndicate, are precisely the kind of partners that we don't need. Our president is a fool.

So he's saying, if this deal doesn't go through, the UAE will side with the terrorists?

What great friends.

The president has to walk a narrow line between 1) convincing the Muslim world that this is a War on Terror as opposed to a War on Islam and 2) maintaining national security. On this issue he was really in a Catch-22, since he really couldn't explain this logic publicly for fear of showing his hand to the Muslim world- This ultimately is a War on Islam.

The west cannot afford to fight 1.2 billion Muslims now, so the best hope is to "divide and conquer." To that end, the president is currently going after the more radical elements of Islam (terrorists) with the WOT with the hope of westernizing future generations of Muslims given the time and access to do so. In the mean time he tries to encourage the more moderate Islamic nations (like UAE) and treating them fairly in trade is one way to do that.

This strategy is truly our only hope unless we're prepared to engage in mass genocide. You have undoubtedly noted how easy it is to rally the relatively uneducated Muslim masses into a violent frenzy over the silly cartoon issue and I expect they would do far worse if they knew the west were engaged in a War on Islam.

The Muslim culture is not easily assimilated into a western society, so this will be a supremely difficult challenge. If we can't figure out how to do it, we're doomed to death, dhimmitude (as we're seeing indications of in Europe), or a lot of innocent blood on our hands.

Re US ownership of key and strategic assets.

First we blocked the Chinese purchase of a US oil company. Now we have blocked UAE on the ports deal. Congress is talking about requiring US ownership of all US port activities.

Should we be worried about "flags of convenience" whereby many of the ships going in and out of our ports fly with a Liberian or Panamanian flag? Can anyone explain why we should not be concerned about this situation? Ever hear of the "Black Tom" explosion?

The Representatives we sent to Washington destroyed everything the President and Administration have worked for
in the ME today. All those in both the Congress and the Senate should be recalled and stripped of their positions and replaced with leaders with a backbone. Today they showed their true colours and it wasn't red, white and blue, it was yellow. Not one thought about how this could effect our nation or the WOT, all they thought about was 'me, me, me' and the easiest way they themselves could get reelected.

"UAE is a committed ally in the war on terror," he said.

U.S. Hostage Tom Fox Killed in Iraq
By JUAN-CARLOS RODRIGUEZ, Associated Press Writer

An American who was among four Christian activists kidnapped last year in Iraq has been killed, a State Department spokesman said Friday.

The FBI verified that a body found in Iraq Friday morning was that of Tom Fox, 54, of Clear Brook, Va., spokesman Noel Clay said. He said he had no information on the other three hostages.

Now is the perfect time for our Islamic dictator "friend" in the UAE to condemn the vicious murder of an innocent Christian in Iraq.

I'm sure our "committed ally" will denounce in the strongest terms all those who murder Christians and others in the name of their so-called god.

["Make no mistake, we are going to scrutinize this deal with a fine tooth comb," Schumer said.]

I would hope that this would mean that the red Chinese would be expelled from their ownership of the Long Beach Naval shipyard ports, a deal made by the Bill Clinton, and the Panama Canal red Chinese deal also. It would be a shame if the democrat Schumer overlooked these deals also just because Clinton did them.
