I thought for sure that Stacey would win, or at least come in second. I Can't believe that Rice was second.

No, she didn't deserve it before Jerry, that's for sure. I think it was obvious to him, every week, that he was getting some lucky votes from *somewhere*. He was in total, genuine shock each time he advanced. I bet he wanted to go home, more!

Yes, I have been twice. I think it's a beautiful country, particularly off the beaten path. I don't know how best to describe what it is that I love, besides of course the enormous history. I guess it's the connection to my grandparents and great uncles and aunts that I feel in the pace and joy in the daily life there.

I'll be there, but I'm sure "I'll see you around" before two years is up... ;-)

Thanks again... great job. It was a lot of fun...

Its truely a miracle its still around. There was a major fire in the church it was kept in Torino a few decades ago and many of the important religous pieces in it perished.

The fireman rushed into the burning building and were able to carry out the gold coffin looking container it was stored in.

Its now kept in two containers, environmentally protected, and behind bullet proof thick glass. You can't actually see it, the real shroud, on display. Just the containers that hold it. But above it, they have a exact replica hanging so you can see what it looks like. They have a pew in front of the display so you can pray.

Heh, you're with "me." I wanted Rice to get lots of votes, because I just loved him - BUT he did last longer than he probably should have.

I guess it was all those NFL fans calling in! (Or maybe it was Master P's leftovers.)

She and Stacy were dressed almost exatly alike tonight, in their fringe-y swingy pink Barbie-esque samba outfits.

She has had them like that for a very long time, but those are not her real lips.

I didn't think they were real and believe she has a great malpractice case. She's a very pretty woman but the lips take away from it all.

And I'm in the third row, too - far right, with the flower in my hair, laughing my head off.

Yup, precisely what my friends and family were saying tonight and I doubt they will have as large an audience next year if this BS continues!

I don't know, she seems to be happy with them like that, at least since she hasn't done anything about it that I know of. I know I sure would not be happy if my lips looked like that. I agree she is pretty.

The usually creative and chic Italians get the gold medal for the worst closing ceremony in living memory.

The brides floating aimlessy around like amoebas in a laboratory petri dish reminded me of a groomless Reverend Moon mass wedding in Yankee Stadium.

At least Ricky Martin relieved the funereal last gasps of the program. His singing was okay for a guy that had to compete with a million bucks of fireworks going off in his face.

The beefy burlesque queens writhing behind him in leather straps and torn fishnets added a rather repulsive ending to the surreal spastic components of the evening's pastafazoo.

As far as Olympic ceremonies go, the Italians should stick to making spaghetti, Fiats and love.

La commedia e finita.

Leni
