The singing I get. The 400 brides I don't :)

Don Corleone's OTHER assassinated brides, perhaps...

Nobody here has come up with the answer to what are those blue stars about on costumes? At least I didn't hear it.

I asked that earlier......oh boy, Ricky Martin coming up....it's all making sense now....NOT!

There are no answers to most of this. REAL announcers would have gotten a fact sheet and TOLD us. But NOOOO, we have the lame NBC commentary, and therefore we will never, ever know about the blue stars, or who the aviators represented, or what the brides were about. Never.

I don't know either. The whole thing has me perplexed. I feel like we've been on someone's magic mushroom trip tonight.

Don't get the brides at all ... you'd think the announcers would have a script ??? an explanation ???

I've never heard the reason for Boccelli's blindness ... has anyone?

His Bio doesn't touch on it at all .. surprisingly, but also surprising is that he's a lawyer by education and worked at it briefly:

After school, Andrea studied law at the University of Pisa, and these years are fondly recalled as a highly enjoyable period in his life. Graduating as a Doctor of Law, Andrea spent a year acting as a court-appointed lawyer, before embarking on a make-or-break attempt at singing.

He approached the legendary tenor, Franco Corelli, famous for working with some of the greatest voices in the world, who readily agreed to take Andrea as his pupil. To pay the fees Andrea performed at night in piano bars and clubs, and at one of these venues he met Enrica, his future wife. The couple have now been married for eight years, with two sons, Amos and Matteo.

What I didn't expect is to have Ricky Martin close the show. Good grief.

"I'm extrememly confused! The flame is out."

What was with that? I looked down at my computer screen for a second, and suddenly I heard the flame was out??? I missed it.

Did they just flush it out in the middle of a wedding ceremony? Or did NBC do some heavy editing?

Maybe you have to have the "touchy-feely lib gene" to get it. The rest of us suffer from touchy-feely blindness.

Well, Stacy only had ballet when she was a very little girl. I'm not so sure she has been a model, has she? Before WWrestling or after? I was shocked when she was knocked out of the competition tonight. I thought she'd be 1st or 2nd, for sure.

And I was equally shocked at Jerry getting 2nd place--I thought he should have been out the week (2-3 wks ago) when Len Goodman said he was the worst of all there. But that fired him up to come back and do a very good fox trot.

I think all his "points" (not meaning just audience) were for his heart - he gave more and came further and tried harder than the others. He never gave up. And his footwork was finally better Thu night and tonight. I loved his partner. She was a doll.

Drew was just like a machine, though--always good. As it turns out, besides 98 Degrees, he had been a dancer on Broadway--a lesser one, but still, that's training.

But, yes, I was with you - the first week they let Master P stay past the first night! Ughhh! What a contrast to Jerry R.
