Get some rest.
That is a MAGNIFICENT animal. Wow, I could REALLY joust windmills and rescue damsels in distress astride that mount. But I have my faithful burro and we do our best.
Most of my friends in high school were skiers, so I tried skiing at first, but couldn't keep the skis from crossing. Once we (my two instructors and I--public lesson on a weekday evening) figured out which foot needed to be in front, it was a breeze.
ok, yeah, there were some pretty good wipe-outs along the way, but nothing like when I was trying to ski...me on a snowboard is much safer for everyone on the slope than me on skis.
LOL My kids love to snowboard and as good shape as they are in, even they feel it for a few days after. Me? I'm apprehensive about getting BACK on skis; it's been 20 years... Dave Berry is great.
Me too but he is not for sale
He is a standing stud at a Paso Fino farm in Florida
Someday I may get a colt or grand colt of his!
You have, with your cute and thoughtful Smiley's, thanks
I am a Texan and I went skiing once a year for a number of years. A one week a year ski trip is not enough to (1.) get very good at it (2.) get your ski muscles in shape so that you CAN get very good at it.
No matter what exercises I did before skiing, they never stopped me from being so sore I wanted to die. I think skiing uses muscles that you never use for anything else.
I gave up skiing when I turned 55 because I realized I had turned into an old person. I knew this because AARP had me on their mailing list and they told me about once a week that I was old. Old people take a long time to heal when they break things so I knew it was time to stop, that and the pain.
Ditter, if God had meant for Texans to ski, He would have made bullsh*t white and cold!
