I just finished watching FNC's coverage. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I found the behavior on the 'Rat side of the chamber to be stunning. It loudly conveyed their united positions to: (1) see us defeated in Iraq; (2) grant an inviolate cloak of privacy to terrorists plotting by phone as long as one of them is within our borders; and, (3) burden us with skyrocketing social security costs. There are some great visuals that can be used to good effect in November.

Yes it has and to top it off, I read here today that Stevens said he wants to retire under a Republican president since he was appointed by a GOP POTUS!
Now is the time, Justice Stevens, to come to the aid of your party...lol.

The question is what percentage of the Islamic world adheres to "radical Islam", and if it's a large majority (as I fear), it's mainstream Islam, but still "radical" in terms of the rest of the world. Radical Islam is a redundant phrase.

"That was a four-game World Series Sweep.
Between baiting the Dems into a serious mistake re: Social Security and the overall aggressive tone, this was one hell of a speech."
AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!
I'm replying to you filbert, somewhat at random, but you have said it well. I usually can't stand these types of speeches, and hubby's no fan of this stuff (unless there is some crisis), but Bush caught and held our attention tonight and it was a beautiful thing to watch him put the finger in the eye of his opponents tonight.
Bush has his faults, to be sure, but letting the turkeys get him down and the morons push him around aren't amoung them.
God bless our beloved W and God bless America.
And God bless our new Justice Alito too, he's such a cutie pie, he looked honestly awed tonight, it was very winning. I bet his old Italian aunts used to pinch his cheeks right off of his face when he was little.

Follow up is making me sick.I hope you caught Chris Wallace a bit later talking about the lunch for media that the President gave today. He had wonderful things to say about the Prez and his demeanor as did Brit Hume. There are some honest folks out there and it does make one feel a bit better :)

Why did the 'Rats play the Eyebrow card instead of having their alleged new "star" Barack Obama give the response? I think it's because they know GWB is kicking the crap out of all of them and they saw no reason to let anyone but a rookie take on mission impossible.

Hillary is not electable outside of NY. From your lips to God's ears! That harsh, shrill voice (along with the eye-rolling) make her unlikely to be successful at the national level. Tonight proved she is not ready for prime time. (Actually, not one of the Dems who sat on their hands except for the stunt looked even remotely presidential.)

I think he may have a point about the WoT, but nobody is really sour to the point of thinking Tim Kaine is a viable alternative.
There will be another Republican in the WH in '08, barring any Ross Perot repeat. The fact remains, the Country is in peril, crazy Moslems are breathing down our necks, and will continue to. They may be weakened, but they are not dead by a long shot.
Everyone knows this. When I say everyone I mean everyone as it relates to elections and bringing leaders to the fore.
The Democrats just don't get it. Mr. Kaine doesn't get it, and he's supposed to be a great sort of white, sort of black hope.
It isn't going to work. To quote the great Mark Steyn, 'while the American people may be in the mood to throw the bums out, that doesn't mean their in the mood to throw the democrat bums in.' And that's a fact.
These people are out of ideas, and that's their biggest problem, next to appearing to thinking less of the Country, as it relates to protecting it and all the rest.
But, they are convinced of their legitmacy in greater proportion than they are convinced of the Republican's illegitimacy, and that's saying something. 'Pride goeth before the fall.'

OMG!!! This is the Democrat *plan*. Finally they have unveiled it: To get this eyebrow to speak. We all become so engrossed in the brow, we hear nothing they say. They are able to take over. Without firing a shot. Just that damned brow...rising...falling...rising...falling... ROFL!! This is the funniest thing I've read in six months! THE PLAN THE PLAN! I think you got it!
To: swheats
With Kaine speaking, as a Catholic, does this mean he's a pro-life democrat that doesn't embrace the gay/lesbian lifestyle? His first act in office was to sign an Executive Order continuing "sexual orientation" as a protected class for state employees.
Any more questions?
