Have any of you MA signers been contacted yet by "concerned" opponents wanted to "spark a dialogue?" Just curious as to whether any contacts were civil, belligerent, militant, harrassing, etc. and what your reply was.
I would suggest recording each and every phone call and facts surrounding the call. If you have any harrassment laws like we do here in Texas, I'd recommend pursuing charges to the fullest extent when elements of the crime are met. Maybe even a civil issue whenever possible.

Notice how on the first page they say “If you see a friend, family member, or neighbor on the list of petition signers, make sure they are not a victim of fraud and let them know why marriage equality is important to you.”
Third, somehow thing that if you disagree with them, you are some how not educated in the facts.
Fourth, they will always confuse normality with perversion. Well this is just “Marriage Equality.” Truth is not a State in this country requires you to prove you are heterosexual to get married. What they want is not equality but a special right, because they do not like the rules set down for all. According to their logic, a 70 year old man should have the right to marry a 12 year old girl. They just want marriage equality.
The truth is Society has the right and the responsibility to set down rules that help maintain and stabilized the society. Marriage is about helping maintain the relationship between a man and a women because this is the ONLY union that creates children, where BOTH partners have a biological and genetic connection with the children produced.
Remember, society can survive just fine without homosexuals, but will fail without stable families. In order for America to survive and prosper we need rules that create the glue that hold us together. If we don’t stand up and fight those that attack our culture, we all will eventually fail as a nation.
fwdude, so far I haven't heard anything from the "concerned" opponents. I live north and east of Boston, so it would take a bit more to contact me. However, I appreciate your advice and will definitely document whatever contact is made.
From posts on the leftist websites, it seems that only family members and close relations or friends of signers are doing the contacting and confrontations are reportedly bitter. Some are even breaking off contact with relations and friends for signing the petition and have expressed hatred.... is that the word?

I think it is sort of cruddy that they are allowed to post someone address. What if some nut job came to your home and killed you because you opposed same sex marriage. This isn't right at all. Maybe names but definitely not addresses.

No, haven't been approached yet by the "tolerant ones". Not too concerned. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a socialist around here. We know how to handle them.
