From what I understand, they really should love that stuff.
Maybe it's the fact it was a girl. Maybe if it had been a boy..........there wouldn't have been a problem.

Thank Almighty God that John McPain has someone in Congress that knows his character.

McPain was a daddy's boy who should never have been allowed to fly jets. He abandoned a crippled wife, got him self involved the the "Keating Five" which by the way the MSM chooses to ignore.

McPain's only driving force is to be nominated as the Republican candidate for President. He is a loser.

Nope. But, that lack of direct experience notwithstanding, I'm still more than willing to say that raping and beating family members is a line I don't want crossed in my name, or in the name of protecting my family from an inchoate threat.

Which is the question I asked you, and which you have, to this point, dodged.

"Despite 90 votes supporting the McCain amendment in the Senate, the administration has threatened to veto either bill if it contains the amendment’s language. White House officials, most notably Vice President Cheney, have long sought to thwart McCain’s effort. "

Another example of the kind of gutless wonders we have representing us in Congress.

The Administration is right - dead right - on this one.

Once again, John McCain has demonmstrated what kind of media-prostitute he is. If the leftist mass media in the U.S. support something, John McCain will grovel in the dirt to them and do everything possible to please his media masters.

"Nope."
that's what I thought.

"dodge?"
hey, I don't need to answer evvvvvery question some anonymous posts on FR for the entire world to read...
heck we don't have a clue who the hell you are...you could be OBL himself. LOL
but let it be known, that the "threat" should always be on the table especially if some terrorist knows the whereabouts or has knowledge of a bombing that might murder thousands of people.

and FYI, pigs get a lot more results than anything else...

Class dismissed!

Yes, and that it is a violation of their (prisoners') constitutional rights not to be able to reproduce via FedEx.

The McCain amendment would limit American interrogators to techniques prescribed by the Army Field Manual and prohibit “cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment” of prisoners in U.S. custody, regardless of nationality or physical location.

Wait. Am I missing something? The amendment would prohibit interrogators from doing something that the Army Field Manual already prohibits the Army from doing?

Then let the word go out that kellynla is in favor of raping and beating the children of detainees.

So, how many POWs did you interrogate under the mythical 'ticking time bomb' scenario?

"Then let the word go out that kellynla is in favor of raping and beating the children of detainees."

I suggest you cease posting lies.
you've certainly been around here long enough to know better.
or is flame baiting your modus operandi?

And how many interrogations I participated in falls under
"NOYB"

Lies? Did I incorrectly read your statement that you want to keep the 'threat' of beating and raping children 'on the table'? Looked pretty clear to me.

As far as your NOYB, I would wager that the number of 'ticking time bomb' interrogations you've conducted is exactly the same as mine.

I like water boarding. This is a from of torture lite. It leaves no permanent damage or broken bones. Real torture is when you rape, cripple, extract teeth. pull out nails, shoot out kneecaps and elbows, electro shock to genitals, traumatize for life

Water boarding, what it is:

Also the Mexican technique of shooting Seven Up or Pepsi up the nose of the criminal. That gets them talking

I gather English is a second language for you because I never said anything about raping or killing children.

now direct your flame baiting tactics to someone else;
because further inane posts from you will be ignored.

Everything? How about raping the daughter of a detainee in front of him? Beating his infant child in front of him?

If he knows about a nuke that's going off in Washington DC in two hours the answer is yes. But those two techniques are beyond the pale though 3rd world dictators use them all the time

No, you didn't say it. I asked you if you favored it, and you said the threat should be on the table. Plain as day.

One of these days, someone is going to try to defend these techniques without resort to the 'ticking time bomb' myth that has nothing - nothing - to do with at least 99.9% of hte interrogations at issue.

How about interrogation via water boarding for Islamic Jihadists? Is that OK by you?

I hope you realize that this McCain ban on torture would be used by lawyers to prevent all tough interrogation. Even sleep deprivation and sodium pentathol. You really want that?

“I wasn’t really as courageous as Sam Johnson,” McCain, who was awarded many of the same medals, told The Dallas Morning News for a 2003 profile of Johnson. “I mean that. He suffered a lot more than I did.”

No doubt in my mind that McCain sang like a canary to his Viet Nam buddies.
