Sorry ... just had a Monty Python moment there :)
I'm glad you were with me for it :~D
I have never understood the absolute hatred many so called conservatives have for Falwell. He is a pretty straight down the middle Conservative Christian. Now that I think about it, that is probably why the hate him.
True Shanda, its probably because he proclaims God's message of the love of Jesus Christ, and he is therefore not 'politically correct', and you know if you want to get in good with the 'media' you have to be politically correct, they don't like either feeling convicted for their own failins (I think) or they are really ~liberals~ themselves!..
Blame? I don't think I'd call it blame.
This was a pretty humorous story in many respects. Good for the GA governor for not countenancing any politcally-correct-speak out of his office!
*I* object to the term on politically-correct grounds, and I do not term myself "religious right". "Religious middle ground" would be a better description.
You don't seem to get it.
That line came from the GA office talking about where the staffer who'd made this statement was to be "banished" as "punishment". "It's a joke, son!" as Foghorn Leghorn would put it.
