Your Favorite Military TV series? - VANITY

Ok this is a FRIDAY VANITY post.... What were some of your favorite Military oriented tv shows?

Go back as far as you like.

Mine are: Steve Canyon, 12 O'clock High, Rat Patrol & Combat.

Comedys are ok too.... MASH, Phil Silvers, McHale's Navy...

Sgt Bilko, Gomer Pyle, Hogan's Heroes, F Troop. McHale's Navy -- they were all the same show, right? They just changed costumes, I think.

Combat was great.

Used to refer to the Vic Morrow character as Sargent Scar-tissue.

Seems he got wounded in every episode.

Combat! Starring Rick Jason and Vic Morrow. Or, Combat! Starring Vic Morrow and Rick Jason. Depending on who was the featured character that episoed.

I didn't care for the later color episodes, though, because it took away from the aura of the series. Color made the locations seem to familiar.

In the olden days I loved MASH but after seeing some reruns lately I realized they really leaned to an anti-American sentiment.
Phil Silvers and MacHalys Navy were sure funny shows.
I think the other poster who mentioned Combat was spot right on.
