Well I think most French youths are Catholics. By belief:
1. Atheist
2. Muslim
3. Catholic
Best I can figure. Some of the atheists might have been baptized at some point.

I don't know if they are private or public schools.
I was curious if any of them were Jewish private schools.
Doubt if they would broadcast that information.
I did read on a FR thread that the "youths" were not burning Muslim businesses, but everything else seems fair game. Guess the Parisian fatwa didn't have much affect on the youngsters. Probably can't read or listen to the news. Sounds like they are more into Rap and MTV.

The French lack of response, with live ammo, is only going to encourage the muslims to get worse. They'll percieve the lack of serious response, which is the only thing that they will understand, as weakness, which it is. The other countries in the EU better get serious themselves. If the French don't stop it now, I can see the muslims in other countries STARTING where the French muslims are now, with gunfire.

Buckshot from pistols and rifles? That's what hit me immediately too. Then, I realized that this was being written by a "journalist" who couldn't know anything about firearms.

That's right. After eleven days of the French doing nothing, the muslims are becoming bolder because they haven't seen (or felt) the consequences from their actions. As long as the French don't crack down on it aggressively, why should the muslims stop rioting every night? It's crazy, and like I said earlier, this is war and the only way to fight it is with an army.

We'll probably here a lot more about buckshot being used. Why? Because these "youths" have been planning this for a long time and they have been loading and stockpiling their own rounds.
It's easy to get the supplies to load your own shotgun shells without attracting too much attention from The Government, or from Uncle Frenchy as it were.
Its also easy to manufacture your own crude weapons that will fire shotgun rounds.
The French don't have a clue what they are dealing with here.

this is war and the only way to fight it is to fight (army or otherwise). I am not hopeful that the french will fight; it is more likely that something other than the frenchies fighting will put an end to this.

Now would be the perfect time for Islam to rise up.
The US is spread too thin, and the Bush administration seems bent on kissing Islam's butt.
The British are going down the same doomed path by downplaying the dangers of Islam to a liberal public.
Israel is backed into a corner and is too busy trying to put out fires concerning the Gaza strip concession to come to any one's aid.
The UN is owned and operated by muslin Arabs, so all they will do is sit around and make resolutions.
And let's face it. nobody likes France. They have been alienating allies right and left. Whose goanna want to bail them out?
Maybe Jonny Depp will save the day. He made it clear that he thinks France is so much better a place to live than in the US....gosh..I hope they don't burn Jonny's house.
