The step father should be charged with attempted murder. If somebody else kills her, they should be charged with murder. Of course, that's not how our legal system works. Nobody is responsible for their own behavior any more.

Just read it myself. Your response, BB, is the same as how I view it. I don't think it's right to take someone off of life-support just so that you can file murder charges on them. The crime in my point of view was attempted murder. It doesn't make it right to take her off her life-support just because she going to have a tough road ahead of her. That would be the futile care plan that euthanasiasts keep trying to pull over on us, but it only escalates this diminished quality of life that they think we should all give in to. Her biological mother said something like "I wouldn't want her to live like that" which IMO is saying that SHE doesn't want to take care of her own daughter. It's very tragic all the way around, but I don't think that removing life-suppport is the right thing either.
