Orwell would love that one. In order to increase personal freedom, we must "empower government." As for whether Jesus would vote Democrat, I personally doubt that he would vote at all. He didn't seem like a voting kind of guy. If you want to point to something in modern society that would compare to Jesus, it would probably be a streetcorner preacher talking about the coming of God and the end of the world, the very kind of person that liberals (and most conservatives, for that matter) love to hoot at.
