When they go on welfare, they get to hire more case workers. True, and the Basic Teacher Testing requirement has had many teachers fail year after year. Usually for inadequate English skills, but sometimes inadequate math skills as well.
Black students do not need this crap to learn and achieve. They need the same thing other students do, parents who emphasize the importance of school, administrators who will not tolerate discipline problems, and good teachers who care about the students and what they do. Don't tell me black students can't achieve just because their parents are poor either, I've seen it myself in the public school I teach in.
OMG, I was a teacher at Rio Vista for 6 years!!! They think that will help the students there?! How about discipline in the schools and caring parents at home!

I then looked up Entrepreneur. There is one definition. "the opposite of a contractor."
I'd love to see the explanation as to how incorporating eubonics is supposed to help black students get into and succeed in college OR the workplace. I'm sure there won't be one forthcoming.

I have a friend who votes Republican, but she sometimes plays devils advocate with herself (I think it's subconcious).
So last election year I put the contrast to her in a way that just hit her right between the eyes. To be fair, she's not a political junkie, so she only has a rudimentary sense of whats going on. But she has a nephew in the military, so I told her she was lucky her nephew isn't from Pennsylvania, because Rendell wasn't going to extend the date for military votes to get back from overseas and be counted, even after they were sent out late.
She took the bait and said that was wrong. I said well, you could call his office, but you can't reach him today, because he's at a Pennsylvania prison to make sure all the prisoners that haven't been convicted yet get to vote.
That day I turned a wobbly Republican into an unshakeable Republican. :)
