I've heard there have been some evacuations of stations in Swindon and Brighton. Probably false alarms though.

I suspect the attacks are related to the trial of Abu Hamza which opened in London yesterday.

I hadn't heard that yet, but that does seem very likely.

IIRC, some terrorist was supposed to be sentenced near the WTC the morning of 9/11.

Yes, please keep the reports of the jihadaist sites coming. I have to leave to get ready for church in a while, but others will benefit from your reporting and I do thank you.

The left wing forced us to slow down the war until this happened

The LEFT is not on our side. The LEFT represents the side of terrorism. We are at war with the LEFT. The LEFT slaughtered 120 million human beings in the 20th century. Slaughtering more in THIS century is simply a continuation of history and tactics of the LEFT.

I don't think they have a clue how many people could be trapped underground.

He's giving bin Laden and the boys a good look at his extended middle finger.

I know the Prime Minister will do a splendid job at that! May all the terrorists get the chance to rot in hell very soon. What a terrible way to start the day.

Have they stopped public services in any other part of the country?

I don't think anyone doubts that Blair will respond to this with swift, unmerciful fury. His reputation preceeds him on matters of national defense.

This is a little off-topic, but there's one person who could benefit from a strong, public response...Prince Charles. He could redeem himself immeasurably in the eyes of his countrymen by standing beside Blair, endorsing a tough response and sharing the duty of visiting hospitals, attending funerals, etc. I've always thought his was a wasted role with his squishy choices of causes. He has an opportunity here to present himself as a bold defender of England...we'll see if he takes it.

It would be a classy move if Major League Baseball and other public events were to play the British anthem instead of our anthem for just this one night.

It's long shot... and tedious work, but worth reviewing.

Israel was holding an economic conference near the scene of one of the explosions. Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was supposed to attend, but the attacks occurred before he arrived.

Convinces me more than ever that it was AQ.

Chinese Internet comments on London explosion, July 7,2005 (excerpt, original in Chinese):

They deserve it, the sooner the better.

Wish next time it hits Tokyo!

No bombing on the innocent. But no Brits are innocent.

American's running dog is paying its due price.

Brits deserve it!

Iraqis can rest in peace now.

Good job!

Thank you, and thank Osama bin Laden.

Good job, Osama.

You should taste it, Brits, you bombed Yugoslavia and Iraq!

French did it, ha ha ha

Why not yesterday? Then they wouldn't get their Olympic bid.

Why now? Bomb it in Olympic Games!

More moon bat ranting from DU, just to let you know what they are saying..... have created the greatest terrorist training camp imaginable. The entire world will sadly reap the "benefits" of their brazen miscalculation. bush shoulders much of the blame for this attack, blair, for being bush's poodle and yes man. The people of London and the rest of the world are the innocent pawns in their disturbing, idiotic game. Of course, tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis have felt the result of these insipid policies. Of course we can't expect bush to care at all. He wanted to slake his massive thirst for revenge on Saddam at any cost, and he's done that. The collateral damage is of no consequence for him.
